Amendment No. 1 to Agreement w~ Nueces County Community Action Agency regarding
Hurricane Katfina Evacuees
Whereas, the City of Corpus Christi ('City') and the Nuecee County Community AclJon Agency
('Contractor'-). with mailing address of , Corpora Christi, Texaa,
executed an Agreement dated October 10.2005 regarding services to be provfded for Hurricane
Fab,ha evacuees ('Agmement~
Whereas, the parties desire to amend the Agreement for additional Contmca3r ~mdcee;
I Section 2 of the Agreement ia revised to read a~ fo~low~:
A. Co,-,~actor shall asse~s the housing needs of all evacueee in Coq)us Christi within seven
calendar days from da~ of contract execution by City Manager.
B. Co.b'ack~r shall compile a list of available housing within aeve~ calendar day~ from date
of CO,YuaCt execution by City Manager
C Co~bactor shall broker contracts wi~ housing providem in Corpus Christi, for firm]
approval by City Manager wffi~in seven caleadar day~ from date contract I~ emmul~J by City
Marmger. Ath~ched ia a sample agreement to be reviewed with potential houalng provtdem.
C-1 Contractor shall assist evacuee with furniture ~rocurement thrmmh Rent-A-Center,
City Manager for sionature.
D. The Contractor agrees to record its expenditures under this Agreement on a regular
basis. The Contractor agrees to provide the City with a copy of IJ3e Cmfl~ctor expenditura~
and supporting docume~ on a weekly basis.
E. The Cc.-,~=t agrees and ac~mow~Mge~ that the City shall only reimburse the
Contractor's coats if such cost~ am deemed reimbumabie by FEMA. The Contractm- ~all be
responsible for all cos~ which am not reimbursed to City by FEMA,
F The Contractor agrees to verify that the evacuee ia registered in the existing shelter a~ a
wctlm of Hurricane Ketrina.
2 Th= Amendment No. 1 takes effect upon execution by the City Manager.
3. All oltmr lerrrm and conditions of the Agreement remain unchanged.

agree to amend the Rental Purchaee Agreement ('Agreement') as follows:

Rental payment agreement between the City of Corpus Christi, Texas and Rent-
A-Center.
The City of Corpus Chdsfl is renting property from Rent-AC, enter for ttm benefit
of Hurricane Kublna evacuees.
By their signatures below, the City of Corpus ChflsU and Rent-A-Center agree to
the following.
The initial payment for each Rental Agreement will be a minimum of one (1)
month rent plus any additional days through the 15~ of the following month. The
initial payment will be paid within five days of the delivery of the mntel
merchandise. Ail subsequent payments will be paid in advance o~ the 15~' of
each mon~. Rent-A-Center will bill the City of Corpus Christi on I~e 1a of each
month all accoun[s o~ rent. The rental period wiU, be from Ute 15~ of each
month and extend through the 14m of the following month. AJI rent paid Is non
refundable.
In the event of non-payment ~ City of Corpus Christi will forfeit any rights to the
product under any agreement and will immediately retum the rer,~ed
merchandise.
