WHEREAS, on September 2, 2005, the Office of lyre Governor requesl~l Corpus
ChriMJ's mmistance to prov~le shelter to as~s't app~ 3,000 people who
were displaced as a result of Hurricane Kubina ("evacueea~;
WHEREAS, the evacuees require housing;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consk:leration of Itl mutual covermn~ ~ this Agreement,
the City and the HOUSING PROVIDER (each, the 'Party') authorized by
I Puroo~. The purpese of this Agreement is for HOUSING PROVIDER to
provide hous{ng to evactmas on ~ bans.
2. Resooneibillties of the HOUSING PROVIDER.
A. HOUSING PROVIDER shall provide housing, and to the extent pmmible,
provide furniture and u'dlildea to evacuees.
B HOUSING PROVlDER may charge for dam~t for evacuee housing
equivalent to the usual and mmtDrm~ry arno~nt chaeged other
C. HOUSING PROVlDER aha~ bill tyro City monthly evacuee housing coe'm
which am deemed allowable for mimbumerrmr~ by FEMA.
D The HOUSING PROVIDER agrees to record its expendEume under this
Agreement on n regular basis. The HOUSING PROVIDER agmas to provide rite
City with a copy of the HOUSING PROVlDER expertdlbJmS and supporUng
documents on a weeidy basis.
E The HOUSING PROVIDER agreea and acbnowfed~ that the City shall only
reimburse the HOUSING PROVlDER'a coats if mJch coa~ am deemed

reimbursable by FEMA. The HOUSING PROVIDER shall be responsible for aU
costs which am not re~bursed to City by FEMA.
F HOUSING PROVIDER agrees to provide City with at leaat 60 daya advance

to allow C~ sufficient time to either negotiate scflution with HOUSING
PROV1DER or otRain altemal~e hou~ng for evacuee.
G. The Housing Provider shall offer ho~.~,ng aervtces at rates equivalent to other

3. ~lilJee of lhe City.
A. City agrees to cornFxH'mate HOUSING PROVIDER for any allowable FF_.MA
