HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2005-653 - 11/29/2005 - NAThis Agreement (the 'Aqreement") is made between A/fonso Benavides, owner of house located at 9961 Leopard Corpus Christi, Texas, 78410 (~HOUSING PROVIDER"), a Texas corp~ration, and the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (the ACity@), a municipal corporation. WHERF~%S, on Septe~er 2, 2005, the Office of the Governor requested Corpus Christi's assistance to provide shelter to assist a~oroximately 3,000 people Who were displaced as a result of Hurricane Katrina ('evacuees"); WHERE,, approximately 400 evacuees r~-B~in housed in Corpus Christi shelters; WHEBEJ%S, the evacuees require housing; 2. Responsibilities of the HOUS£NG PROVIDEA. ~. HougING PROVIDER shall provide housing, and to the e×tenl' possible, provide furniture and utilities to ~%.'~('uees. The HOUSING <'R()VIDgR agrees to provide the City with a copy of the HO')SING PROVIDER expenditures and supporting documents on a weekl~ basis. -~. The HOUSING PROVIDER shall be responsible for all costs which are not reimbursed to City by FFJ4A. F. HOUSING PROVIDER agrees to provide City with at least 60 days advance written notice prior to initiating any attempt to remove any evacuee fro~ housing to allow City sufficient time to either negotiate solution with HOUSING PROVIDER or obtain alternative housing for evacuee. G. The Housing Provider shall offer housing services at rates equivalent to other lessor rates in the sam, coa~lex. H.
