AMENDMENT NO. 13
TO CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "CITY", and LNV Enaineerina hereinafter called
"Consultant", agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services for O.N. Stevens
Water Treatment Plant Wash Water SYstem. Phase 2 (Filter Drain. Yard PiDlng. Wash Water Filter to
Waste), as authorized and administratively amended by:

Exhibit "A" of the original contract, Section 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES. Part B. Additional Services shall be
modified by the addition of the following scope (as shown on the attached Exhibit "A"):
O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant. Phase 2. Filter Drain. Yard PiDing. Wash Water Filter to
Waste (WW-FW) (Project No. 8375) - Consultant will provide additional Resident Project Engineer
and Construction Inspector Services. Laughlin-Thyssen's original contract time was to end in
December 2004, but it was revised to August 1, 2005 and an additional eight (8) months' worth of
Inspection and Resident Engineer fees were granted under Amendment No. 12. However, the new
completion date is scheduled for December 31,2005. which will require LNV Engineering to provide
approximately five (5) additional months of Resident Engineerina and InsDectlon Time. LNV
Engineering estimates that 30 hours per week for Inspection and 20 hours per week for Resident
Engineering will be required.
Exhibit "A" of the original contract, Section 3. FEES, Part C. Summary of Fees is amended as shown on the
attached Exhibit "A."
All other terms and conditions of the Contract and Amendments between the City and Consultant will remain
in full force and effect.

SCOPE:
To provide Additional Engineering Services at the D.N. Stevens Water Treatment
Plant to:
1 To provide a resident project engineer to continue to meet daily with City
Staff for the duration of this project, estimated completion December 31,
2005.
2. To provide a construction inspector to monitor daily construction, estimated
completion December 31, 2005.
BASIC SERVICES: No Services Required for this Amendment.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Provide resident project engineer and construction inspector
services as described in the attached Exhibit.
FEES: The fee for performing the above work is $90,860.00
SCHEDULE: The resident engineer and construction inspector services will be completed at the
end of this project.

DEFINITIONS
Board Member. A member of any board, commission or committee appointed by the City Council of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas.
Employee. Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, either on a full or part time basis, but not as
an Independent contractor.
Firm. Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or commercial and whether
established to produce or deal with a product or service, including but not limited to, entities operated in the form
of sole proprietorship, as self-employed person, partnership, corporation'd'oint stock company, joint venture,
receivership or trust and entities which, for purposes of taxation, are treate as non-profit organizations.
Official. The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager1 Deputy City Manager, Assistant City Managers,
Department and Division Heads and Municipal Court Judges or the Cify of Corpus Christi, Texas.
