Re: Oso Water Reclamation Plant Electrical/Alternate Power Facility Upgrade Part 1,

Dear Angel:
The purpose of this letter is to provide the required documentation for Council approval
of the proposed modifications of the electrical distribution system at the referenced
project.
At the request of the City of Corpus Christi, AEP Texas has reviewed the plans
generated by your engineer, Colwell and Associates, Inc. The Contribution in Aid to
Construction for the requested modifications will not exceed $80,000.00. AEP Texas
proposes to bill the City of Corpus Christi in two work orders.
Work Order 1 would capture our costs associated with the installation of the new 12.47
kV facilities. Shortly after commencement of the project and upon completion of Work
Order 1, AEP Texas will submit its initial invoice.
Work Order 2 will be the costs associated with the removal of the existing equipment
that is no longer required in the plant. The invoice for this Work Order will be submitted
near the completion of the project.
The following Scope of Work is meant to provide a reasonable summation of the work to
be performed by AEP Texas. A complete listing of the work to be performed is detailed
In the Plans and Specifications for the referenced project. The attached drawings AEP-
01, 02 and 03 are provided for additional information and clarification.

Work Order 1.
y AEP Texas will install a new 12.47 kV distribution line, meter pole,
group operated switch, deadend pole and associated equipment
from Nile Drive to the east riser pole.
y AEP Texas will install a new meter pole, group operated switch,
deadend pole and associated equipment to the west riser pole.
y AEP Texas will coordinate with the contractor to remove jumpers at
the existing south switchgear riser pole to de-energize the 12.47 kV
overhead line that extends to the transformer bank at blower house
#1 and blower house #5.
y AEP Texas will maintain the existing 12.47 kV overhead line in an
operable condition to provide alternate service to blower house #1
and blower house #5 in the event of an emergency.
Work Order 2:
" AEP Texas will coordinate with the contractor for the removal of
existing meter, poles, overhead lines and other related equipment
along the south and east side of the plant office/parking area as
instructed by the City's engineer. Coordinate with the telephone
company to leave poles and guys as necessary to support existing
telephone cable.
y AEP Texas will remove the meter, poles, overhead lines and other
related equipment entering the plant on the east from Ennis Joslin
Road.
y AEP Texas will remove the transformers, racks, poles, overhead
lines and other related equipment serving blower house #1 and
blower house #5.
If this proposal is acceptable, please have the appropriate party(ies) acknowledge
below and return this document to me.
