FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
CDBG SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT FOR FY 2004
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND CHARLIE'S PLACE
This first amendment ("First Amendment") is made by and between the City of
Corpus Chnsti Texas ("City") and the Coastal Bend Alcohol and Drug
Rehabilitation Center, Inc, doing business as Charlie's Place ("Subrecipient"), a
nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Texas.
Whereas. the City and Subrecipient executed an agreement ("Agreement") which
was approved by the City Council on August 31, 2004 (Motion 2004-328) for the
purpose of utilizing the City's FY2004 Community Development Block Grant
C'CDBG") program funds
Whereas the Agreement terminated February 28, 2006. and
Whereas. the parties to the Agreement desire to execute this First Amendment to
reinstate and extend the term of the Agreement through this First Amendment
and to accordingly amend provisions of the Agreement:
Now. therefore the parties agree as follows:
1, Section 9. subsection 9 1 of the Agreement is deleted and replaced with
the follOWing language
9 1 Term This Agreement terminates August 31,2006. Extensions to
the term of thiS Agreement may be requested by the Subrecipient and
approved by the City Manager, However, the Subrecipient is bound by all
covenants terms, and conditions of this Agreement, including without
limitation, recordkeeping. for a period of six (6) years commencing on the
date of the Subreclpients execution of this Agreement, unless a specific
bound period IS shorter or longer as may be stated in this Agreement."
2 By execution of thiS First Amendment, the parties agree to reinstate the
original Agreement and extend the term an additional six months, expiring
August 31 2006. All terms and conditions of the Agreement not changed
by thiS First Amendment remain the same and in full force and effect.
