Inc. hereinafter called "CONSULTANT", agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services for CorDus Christi ShiD Channel Utility Crossina (Proiect No. 7173 aRd 1429) as previously authorized and amended by: L Original 9ontract_=r:December 17, 2002 ] Motion No. M2002-418 $282,700.00 I The following paragraphs describe Amendment No, 1. The headings and outline designations refer to those from the original contract; amended sections retain the same number and letter designation; new sections append the sequencing of the original contract. EXHIBIT "A", PART 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, SECTION A. BASIC SERVICES, shall be modified to expand the Additional Services to include the following: ITEM NO.1 DESIGN PHASE o. Perform a preliminary investigation of stability issues with the Corpus Christi Ship Channel side-slopes. ITEM, NO.3 BID PHASE f. Assist the City with re-bidding the project, including revising the construction documents to reflect new project title and bidding format (separating the project into two base bids, awarded in separate construction contracts), revising project proposal form, incorporating addenda from original project bid phase, updating opinion of probable construction cost, addressing unforeseen industry issues dealing with supply and pricing of HOPE pipe, and repeating all duties listed in items a. through d. of this section for project bidding. ADDITIONAL SERVICES, shall be modified to expand the Additional Services to include the following: ITEM NO.1 PERMITTING · Provide additional coordination and documentation with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Water Division and Wastewater Division to obtain project approval. !!1M NO.5 CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION SERVICES · Provide additional construction observation services for installation of the new utility crossing (BASE BID 1) and removal of the existing utility crossing (BASE BID 2). · Provide additional services required for Construction Change Orders No. 2 and No.3 to relocate the directional drill entry points for one wastewater line and two water lines. Exhibit "A-1 " TASK LIST shall be modified to expand the Task List to include the following: 6) (a) Prepare and submit documentation requested by the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality's Water and Wastewater Divisions as necessary to obtain approval. 8) (a) Assist the City with re-bidding the project, including revising the Construction Documents to reflect new project title and bidding format (separating the project into two base bids, awarded in separate construction contracts), revising project proposal form, incorporating addenda from original project bid phase, updating opinion of probable construction cost, addressing unforeseen industry issues dealing with supply and pricing of HOPE pipe, and repeating all duties listed in item 6) above of this section. 10) (a) BASE BID 1 (Installation of New Utilities) In addition to providing construction phase services 20 hours per week for four months (Monday through Friday) as indicated in EXHIBIT "A", PART 3. FEES, SECTION C. Summary of Fees, perform the Construction Observation Services: · Saturdays - 4 hours per week for four months · On call 24-hours a day for pipe pullback operations · Sundays - during Contractor's extended working hours during directional drilling and reaming operations - 59 days, or 8.5 weeks · On call 24-hours a day during extended working hours for directional drilling and reaming operations - 59 days, or 8.5 weeks, anticipating 8 hours of site visits I communication per week · 45 additional calendar days - Monday through Saturday, 4 hours per day (resulting from Change Order NO.3 for relocation of drill entry site) 10) (b) BASE BID 2 (Removal of Existina Utilities) (Proiect No. 8549) · Monday through Saturday- 24 hours per week for 60 calendar days while Contractor is working Monday through Saturday for onshore work. · Monday through Sunday - 28 hours per week for 90 calendar days while Contractor is working Monday through Sunday within the limits of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel. · On call 24-hours while Contractor is working Monday through Sunday within the limits of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, anticipating 8 hours of site visits I communication after-hours per week. 10) (c) Assist the City with additional services required for Construction Change Orders NO.2 and NO.3 to relocate the directional drill entry points for one wastewater line and two water lines. Coordinate with Rock Engineering and Testing Laboratory, Inc (RETL) develop a traffic control plan for the closure of Mesquite Street and coordinate with the City Traffic Engineering Department, the Solomon Ortiz Center, and the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History. Revise the water line and wastewater line tie-in locations on the south side of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel and coordinate with Urban Engineering regarding revising the location of the proposed Hughes Street Pump Station Discharge. 13) Perform a preliminary investigation of stability issues with the Corpus Christi Ship Channel side-slopes to address concerns from the USACE regarding construction costs to re-establish the side-slopes after removal of the utilities. Perform preliminary coordination for a geotechnical investigation, perform a preliminary review existing AMD.
