AMENDMENT NO.1
TO CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
This City of Corpus Chnsti, Texas hereinafter called hCITY", and HNP Inc.. hereinafter called
hCONSUL T ANT", agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services for
Cib1arron/Lens Drive Wastewater Lift Station (Proiect No. 7286) as authorized and administratively
amended by

· In the original contract, Exhibit "A" Section 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, B. Additional Services
(Allowance) shall be modified as follows and described in the attached Amendment No.1, Exhibit
"A":
, Riqht of Way Acquisition Survey services shall be changed to Additional Toooqraohic Survey
services. This will be a no-cost change to the contract. In addition, HNP Inc. will coordinate with
others for the force main construction being designed by Maverick Engineering, Inc. (MEI).
, Design of the follOWing elements odor control; emergency power generators; off-site gravity sewer;
additional landscaping and irngatlon for larger site and decorative concrete screening fence.
· In the original contract, Exhibit "A" Section 3. FEES, Part A. Fee for Basic Services is modified to
include the following statement:
The fee is subject to the availability of funds The Consultant may be directed to suspend work
pending receipt and appropriation of funds. A Cash Flow Invoice Schedule is required and is included
In this contract as Exhibit'A-1" The Cash Flow Invoice Schedule is to specify by month--for the
duration of the contract--an estimate of invoices to be submitted by the Consultant to the City."
In the original contract, Exhibit "A" Section 3. FEES, Part C. Summary of Fees is modified and is
attached as Amendment No.1, Exhibit "A."
All other terms and conditions of the Contract and Amendments between the City and Consultant will remain
in full force and effect

Dear Mf- Fscobar:
In accordance wlth Paragraph 3 (Order of Servlces) of the Contract for Professional Services, we are
requesting an amendment to our contract and written authorization to begin the Design Phase for
the above-referenced project. The proposed project will replace the existing lift station. The
proposed lift station will accommodate the ultimate design flow for the service area (1,498,014
gallons per day). The project schedule projects that the design phase will be complete October 1,
200(1. The estunate of probable cost f(lr the proJect at this time b $825,512.
Completion of the DeSIgn Phase will require an amendment to do the following:
I . j n the origmal contract, change Right of Way Acquisition Survey services to Additional
fopographic Survey senices, This \vill be a no-cost change to the contract. In addition,

Manrick Engineering, Inc. (\iFI).
