AMENDMENT NO.3
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City", and MAVERICK ENGINEERING.
~, hereinafter called "Engineer", agree to the following amendments to the Contract for
Engineering Services for UP River Road - from Rand Moraan Road to McKinzie Road

· The Contract for Professional Services, Exhibit "A", Part 1. Scope of Services,
Section A. Basic Services, Item No.2 Desion Phase shall be modified to include the
following: Revise design calculations, drawings, bid documents, quantities and
estimate for relocating the Carbon Plant drainage outfall and the Carbon Plant Road
intersection. (Fee = $14,723.00)
· The Contract for Professional Services, Exhibit "A", Part 1. Scope of Services,
Section B. Additional Services, ADD Item No. 9 ROW & Easement Acauisition:
Research existing easements at specified locations along the Up River Road corridor
(Fee = $2,240.00); and Provide written metes and bounds description and exhibit for a
new right-of-way easement for the Carbon Plant Road intersection (Fee = $4,945.00).
· The Contract For Professional Services, Exhibit "A", Part 3. Fees, Section C.
Summary of Fees is modified and is attached as Exhibit "B".
All other terms and conditions of the May 24, 2005 Contract between the City and Engineer, and
of any amendments to that Contract, which are not speCifically addressed herein shall remain in
fun force and effect

Btard Member. A member of any board, commission or committee appointed by the City Council of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas.
El!t1ployee. Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, either on a full or part time basis, but not as
an independent contractor.
Finn. Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or commercial and whether
etta,.' blished to produce or deal with a product or service, including but not limited to, entities operated in the form
of sate proprietorship, as self-employed person, partnership, corporation, joint stock company, joint venture,
receivership or trust and entities whicn, for purposes of taxation, are treated as non-profit organizations.
