Dear Mr. L\bernethy
Ihis will confirm the employment of your firm by the City of Corpus Christi to
represent the Cit:, of Corpus Christi in the above-referenced case. You will report on
the progress of the case to Carol Estes Bray. Senior Assistant City Attorney.
The above services \vill be performed at an hourly rate of $200.00 for attorneys, and
$75.00 for paralegals, Services above $25,000 will require additional
authorization. Billing wIll be in tenths of an hour and detailed to show the person
\\ho provided th(' senice and the service pwvided. Expenses are also to be itemized
and will be limikd to reasonable and cu-;tomary charges. (For example. first class
aIrfare and luxur suites are !1(\t considered reasonable.) Depositions and expert
\\iltness fees will be discussed 111 advance \vith the City Legal Department attorney
monitoring the case. and billed directly by the provider to the City. Billing will be
submitted monthly to Carol Bray in the City Legal Department, and will be payable
within 30 days 01 receipt
