AMENDMENT NO. 20

The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, hereinafter called "City", and Maverick Enaineerina Inc.,

Section 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, Section B. Additional Services for AnteloDe Street and
~ Flats Area 36"/48" Wastewater Gravity InterceDtor (Proiect No. 7302) shall be
mtdifled by the inclusion of the following additional tasks (as detailed in the attached
ElIhibit "A"):
· Replacement of the sanitary sewer along Cleveland Street.
· Preparation of construction drawings for a new manhole on the existing 36" Salt Flats trunk
main.
· New interconnecting 24" sewer line between the existing 36" Salt Flats trunk main and the
new 36"Coke Street trunk main.
· Broadway WVVTP buildings sanitary sewer drain lines to the new manhole.
· Modifications to a manhole close to the Resaca Street Lift Station.
· Modification of construction drawings and meeting with TXDOT for the IH 37 crossing at
Mexico Street. (Total of Amendment No. 20: $17,308.00)
Section 3. FEES - See Summary of Fees attached as Exhibit "B".
All other terms and conditions of the August 18, 1998 contract between the City and Engineer,
and of any amendments to that contract, which are not specifically addressed herein shall
remain In full force and effect.

Man-hours/Cost Breakdown for Additional Services, Amendment # 4
Dear Mr. Escobar.
In accordance with the City's request, Maverick Engineering, Inc. provided
additional engineering services for the following six areas to support the project.

Replacement of sanitary sewer along Cleveland Street. The work
included topographic survey along Cleveland Street to identify the
locathm of existing utilities and preparation of construction drawings
fCfr the new sanitary sewer line and the traffic control punt The sewer
taps were identified by viewing the video tapes provided by the
subcontractor.
Preparation of construction drawings for new manhole on existing 36"
Salt l"lats trunk main. Drawings included construction details of a new
manhole and demolition of the existing concrete vault, grouting of
existing 24" gravity line. Services also included providing the amended
traffic control plan, preparation of TxDOT permit application and filing
an amendment to the permit for road closure. It also included initial site
visits. meeting with the Wastewater Dept. and Engineering Dept staff.
New mterconnecting 24" sewer line between the existing 36" Salt Flats
Trunk Main and the new 36" trunk main along Coke Street. The details
include construction of three new manholes and approximately 300
linear feet of 24" sanitary sewer line.
Broadway WWTP buildings sanitary sewer drain lines to the new
manhole. The existing plant drains into the existing barscreen structure
and a.., the barscreen and the lift stations are to be abandoned, the plant
drains are realigned and are diverted to the new gravity system. Work
included review of old drawings, site visits and preparation of
construction drawings or the contractor to prepare his estimates and
change order.

5. With the barcreen structure being abandoned, the sewage handling had
become an issue and as such a new septic handling facility for the
interim phase was to be located and constructed. Modifications to a
manhole close to Resaca Lift Station was completed to accept the septic
tank waste. MEJ provided the drawings for the manhole modificati,ons.
Senlces included site visits and meeting with the Wastewater Staff and
the contractor
6. Modification of construction drawings and meeting with TxDOT for the
IH 37 crossing at Mexico Street. This 24" steel casing was to be
installed by boring under the IH 37 from outside the TxDOT right of
way but as the casing did not meet the minimum cover and installation
reqUired disturbance of subgrade along the frontage road, it was decided
to open cut the road. An amendment to the permit application for the IH
37 crossing was prepared and a request was made to open cut the road.
This required meetings with TxDOT staff and Construction Inspector
and preparation of revised drawings and permit application.
Attached, herewith is the man-hour breakdown for the engineering services rendered for
the project The total engineering fee for the above scope of work is $ 17,308.00.
