Recitals
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Public Safety C'STATED) and City of
Corpus ChristilNueces County ("CITY/COUNTY") entered into a Contract No. 06-DEM-
LEPC-1 ("CONTRACr'), effective March 21,2006 (date of execution)_ through August
31, 2006, for a Contract to perform hazardous materials emergency preparedness
IDtanning activities in connection with the project.
WHEREAS, STATE and CITY/COUNTY desire to execute Amendment NO.1 to
amend the CONTRACT to provide for an extension of the contract period;
STATE and CITY/COUNTY hereby agree as follows:
I. Amendment Agreement
The terms set forth in this Amendment No. 1 shall be in addition to and construed
together with the terms of the CONTRACT between 8T ATE and CITY/COUNTY.
The parties acknowledge that amendments are subject to the terms and conditions of
the CONTRACT
This amendment modifies Section 1 Contract Period and Section 6 Inspection of
Work and Progress Reporting, subparagraph 8(3) of the CONTRACT. Text that is
being modified is underlined.

1 CONTRACT PERIOD
This agreement shall become effective upon the date of final execution by the
STATE and shall be completed by Seotember 30. 2006. unless termin~ted in a
manner defined herein.
2 INSPECTION OF WORK AND PROGRESS REPORTING
B. (3) Not later than October 15. 2006, a final project report, which shall
summarize the work performed on the project and accomplishments and a final
financial report with all remaining invoices for reimbursement, supported by
appropriate documentation of expenses.
All other terms and conditions of the CONTRACT shall remain the same.
II. Incorporation of Amendments
Upon and after the date of execution of this First Amendment to the CONTRACT1 all
references to the CONTRACT in that document and any related documents sh~1I mean
the CONTRACT as modified by this document and previous amendments. The
CONTRACT shall consist of the original CONTRACT, together with all documents
incorporated therein, and this First Amendment, together will all documents
incorporated therein. These documents shall constitute the entire Agreement of the
parties
Except as provided in this First Amendment, execution and delivery of this First
Amendment shall not amend, modify, or supplement any provision ofl or constitute a
consent to, or waiver of any noncompliance with the provisions of the original
CONTRACT except as specifically provided in this First Amendment, the CONTRACT
shall remain in full force and effect.
