AMENDMENT NO. 2
GONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The Cityo uf Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City", and BROWN AND CALDWELL
hereinafter called °Engineer' , agree to the following amendments to the Contract for
Engineering Services for Citv-wide Infiltration Related Collection Svstem Enhancement
Prog~am, as authorized and admi~~istratively amended by:

Exhibit "A", Section 1. Scope of Services, Part B. Additional Services shall be modified
by the addition of the following:
1~' Sub-Basin Master ~lan Boundary Adjustments
iA Consultant w+ll meet ,Nith City staff to present the existing master plan boundaries
and discuss how they should be adjusted to include additional undeveloped
property. The budgetary estimates will be based on two (2) meeting.
i B Consultant ~n-ill adjus~ the master plan boundaries as discussed above and will
perforrr the necessary ~alculations to estimate the additional flows into the
collection system.
i~~ Consultant will deterr~ine how these additional flows may impact the existing
collection system anc identify which lift stations, force mains, and gravity lines will
require upgrades Tnese utilities upgrades will be identified on the master plan
exhibits being submirted with the ~echnical Memorandum for Study Areas 5-12
and dated October 2F 2006
18 Su~-Basin Master ~'lan Lift Station and Fcrce Main Cost Estimates
+A Consultant w+ll research 3ndustry accepted cost curves, engineering studies and
locai area construction costs to develop a conservative method of estimating the
following in 2006 dollars:
i. ~Eft ~tatior~ construction costs based on peak flow (mgd).
ii. F~rce marn constr:,ctian costs based on pipe diameter (in).
(B` Consultant will use the method developed in (A) to produce project cost estimates
at ultimate build-out for the following
i. Each lift station ar~d force main being proposed or upgraded in the Wastewater
Collection System Master Plan, Study Areas 1-12 as a part of this project.
ii. Each lift station and force main being proposed or upgraded in the Wastewater
collection System Master Plan for the Allison Wastewater Treatment Plant

showing how the costs were derived, a cot estimate for each lift station, each force
main. and a summary .~f total projecl costs.

!A Consultant w~ll review the existing and ultimate design flows for the lift stations
located in St~;dy Area 2. A hydraulic analysis will be performed on each lift station
to determine the necessary upgrades at interim phases throughout ultimate build-
out. These upgrade~ will be identif~ed on the master plan exhibit and include the
required number af ~~umps, pump models, pump horsepower, ultimate wet well
dimensions and the n:~mber of developed acres at each phase.
