SCOPE OF WORK "LAB" shall provide services to the PROJECT in accordance with the accompanying Scope of Services and Fee Schedule attached as "Exhibit A" and the Terms and Conditions to AGREEMENT attached as "Exhibit B". ~~. This proposal presents the scope of wortc for methane gas monitoring for the Cefe F. Valenzuela Landfill and is intended to be en amendment to our existing contract approved on November 15, 2005. The cost ~timates are based on a two-year schedule to include eight sampling events. This propo~al wss developed based on our discussions and review of the landfill gas management plan Kleinf~der is committed to technicai excellence and client service as demonstrated throug~ their corporate goals. Modifications such as changes in scope, methodology, scheduling, and contract terms may result in changes to the risks assurr~ed by the Owner as well as adjustments to our fees. BACit+~RO~VD INFORMATION Kleinf~der understands that the subject site is comprised of a 2200-acre Type I municipal salid waste landfill, of which the first development unit comprises appro~mate~y 300 acres Currently 16 methane gas probes have been installed for this first ~tit abng with the scale house, administration building, crew building and maintenance facility Copyright 200b, Kleinfelder Amendment No Scope/Fees Mr Jerry Lipstreu, S.E T. is will serve as our project manager for this project. Mr. Lipstreu has over 23 years experience i~ construction as a senior engineering technician. Experienced staff will conduct the field observations and testing. SCORE OF SERVICES DESCRIPTI4N Our scope of services for your project will include the following: Task 1,~ Monitoring and Reporting The 16-methane gas probes along with the facility structures will be monitored quarterly in accordarrce with the landfill gas management plan. The methane concentrations will be meresured by Kleinfelder using a combustible gas indicator, which can give a direct readirt~ of inethane concentration by volume. The field data will be reported on a quarterly la~ll gas monitoring report form. During each landfill gas monitoring event the ir~#egrity of the monitoring probes will be inspected by the sampler with the obsenrations reported on the quarterly landfill gas monitoring report. Kleinf~lder's Project Manager will provide general oversight, coordination with field techni+cians, and repo~t reviews. Kleinfelder will also provide the administrative services to incl~de project set-up, word processing and report preparation, report reproductions, faxing and mailing of reports, general file maintenance, invoicing and collections. PROJECT FEES The ~ove-described services will be performed on an hourly and unit rate basis from portal to port~l in accordance with the attached Fee Schedule. Our estimate of the total cost c~ our services is about $12,000.00 for the two-year period to include eight sampl~ng euents. This amount will not be exceeded without prior approval. The Client and K~einfe~er may subsequently agree in writing to provide for additional services to be re-~iered under this agreement for additional, negotiated compensation.
