This work item involves remo~! of tl~e existing onginal pump and engine driven motor at Power St. Pump Station and replac~ng wi#h the pump and engine driven motor from the Kinney St. Pump Station. A design was prepared, scope developed and civil and electrical plans produced to request a cost propa~al from T8~C Construction, the contractor for the Kinney St. Pump Station. Contractor's construction cost fior the described work amounts to $265,528. The additional engineering serviaes required for this item include initial investigation, preliminary estimates of probable costs, prepare design. ~evelop scope; prepare civil and eiectrical plans, contacting the Contractor conceming the additional work, negotiating and preparing change order, reviev~ingla~roving the additionai work in pay~ estimates, answering Contractor questions, check~g progress, preparing recard drawings and checking completion. A breakdown of the additional fee is provided vn the attached table. We are requesting that an amount of $14,423 ~e prov~ded to cover the additional engineering services. An additional issue for additional services ~s the review of the Contractor's request for value engineering change proposal for the Kinney St. Pump Station project concerning the ~Cohier brand generator and paralleling gear. ~;,ontractor agreed to pay for the engineering servic~es for the review of the engine-generator set proposed. A breakdown of the additional fee ~s pratrided on the attached #able.
