~?e for Basic Services Aut~orized. The Gity wiil pay the Consultant a not to exceed fee as set forth
bv the Summary of Authonzed Fees for providing services specified in Section II.A and Exhibit A-8.
The fee w~il be full and total compensation for services and for all expenses incurred in performing
these serv~ces Consultan* will submit monthly statements for basic services rendered. For services
~~ ovided in Section iI.A the statement will be based upon the ConsultanYs record of total services

Construction Contract Administration
~ o~~de ti-:e one canstruction eng~neer contract coordinator, two field construction inspectors,
ar~d one part t~me construction engineer for approximately twelve (12) calendar months. The
personnel will provide ass~stance to the ~ity Engineer through the oversight of City construction
pr~jects ~his wifl include the general review of assignment of City construction inspectors, daily
~e~erts ae~d contractor pr~~gress ir~ acr_erdance with plans and specifications. Typical services

~ Attena pre-constructio-~ conferences with the City staff, City Engineer, City's design
consultants and construction contractor's key personnel. Establish communication
procedures wi~h City staff. City Engineer; City's design consultants and Contractor.
~ Submit monthiy reports of cnnstruction progress. Reports will describe construction
progress in general t~rms and summarize project costs, cash flow, construction
schedule anc pendirrg and approved contract modifications. Reports will be
~ncorporated ~nto the Management Information System.
Mainta~r a iocumer°, control system designed to track the processing of
contractor's submittal~ and provide for filing and retrieval of project documentation.
Prod~c~ morthly re~c~rts .ndicating the status of all submittals in the review
process Send contractor's submittals, including requests for information,
modif+cation requests shop drawings, schedules, and other submittals to the City's
design cansultants t;~r review in accordance with the requirements of the
constructian ~ontract ~ocuments far the projects. Monitor the progress of the
~ontractor an!~ City's ~esigr~ consultants in sending and processing submittals to
see that docu=nentatio~ is befng processed in accordance with schedules.
~ Review~ cont actor's appiication for payment and recommend payment in
accordance w~th the p=.~cedures in the construction contract documents.
~ Monito~ contractors' c~mpliance with minimum wage rate requirements as required

requirements of the cunstr~ction contract documents, including daily construction
reports and tracking cc~rrections of defective work.

warranties, spare parts and Keys from the Contractor
Permits, ?nsurance and ~abor Affidavits - Consultant will monitor the progress of the
contractor(s) i~~ securirg required building permits, insurance, and labor affidavits.
ContraGtor Co?istructior Schedules - ~onsultant will review and familiarize itself with
the detailed cc~nstruct~c~~ schedule of the contractors and sub-contractors within the
framework of t~e Consultant s Master Schedule.

Consultant w~ll assist w~th coordination and communication among facility

Remova; of Asbestos >>r an3~ other Hazardous Material - The Consultant will only
provide assis~ance ir coc7rdinating removal work if any, with other ongoing
activit~es 'he Consultant ~rvill not be responsible for performing any asbestos or
hazardous material ac~ministration, abatement, monitoring, management, removal,
encapsulation mitigati~n _ar disposal activities. The Consultant will not be
responsible fc,~ any fai~ure {:~f contractor(s), sub-contractors, design professionals,
asbestos/hazardous rr~teria; firms. a~ other third parties to adhere to any regulatory
requirements
Progress Payrnents C~nsultant will make observations at the site and upon
applications for payrr~.ent by contractor(s), which will include certified payrolls,
Consultant wii! review the payment request for accuracy and progress of the work
and forward it~ recommendations concerning payment to City Engineer.
: Monthlv Job Progress Req~~ - Consultant will prepare a daily inspection report and
~ monthly prcgress repo~t fQr submissian to the City Engineer, in writing, on the
status of job site proaress A copy of the report will be forwarded to the City
