UVe are reaching end of the present contract amount to provide inspection services
for the downtown Drainage lrnprovernents profs. A summary of cost date is shovm on the
attached, Resident inspection has been provided for roe separate projects, the first ore
beginning in January ~oo~. The Phase IProject A -New Interceptors And lr~lets ~#~~~8} and
the Phase 11 ~ Agnes St, Box Culvert & Diversion Lines ~#?~~ have ~eerr carnpfeted.
Phase l Project ~ - l~rnney t. Pump Station s#f I! remains to be completed. Vl~ork
remaining amounts to carnpleting the perimeter fence, access gates and punch list iterr~s at the
fCinney St. Pump Station and replacement of Pump No. ~ at the Power t. Pump Station. The
Contactor has exceeded the cant'ract completion date end }s apera~ng under the 1lquidated
damages clause a~ the contract. 1~1e ere continuous#y monitoring the project and have sent
many Leiters to the Dor~tractor concerning contrary time, liquidated damages and expediting the
~ornpletion.
~n order to continue to proVlde the construcf~on inspection through December ~~~}~ VIII
request that our present A~ contract be amended by ~~,9oD to add the inspection services #o
accomplish this additional v~rork, Please review end let me know should you have any questions
