AMENDMENT N0.4
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City", and BROWN AND CALDWELL
hereinafter called "Engineer", agree to the following amendments to the Contract for
Engineering Services for Ci -Wide Infritration Related Collection S stem Enhancement
Program [Praiect No. 7344A1, as authorized and administratively amended by:
Ori final Contract November 8, 2005 Administrative A royal $24,950.00
Amendment No. 1 Februa 28, 2006 Motion No. M2006-061 $944,839.00
Amendment No. 2 December 20, 2006 Administrative A royal $22,500.00
Amendment No. 3 Janua 18, 2007 Administrative A royal $22,680.00
- Exhibit "A", Section 1. Scope of Services, Part B. Additional Services shall be
modified by the addition of Task No. 21 Wastewater Master Plan South of Oso Creek
as detailed in the attached Amendment No. 4, Exhibit "A."
- Exhibit "A", Section 3. Fees shall be modified as specified in Exhibit "B" Summary of
Fees, far a restated fee of $49,312.00 and a revised fee not to exceed $1,064,281.00
All other terms and conditions of the November 8, 2005 contract between the City and Engineer,
and of any amendments to that contract, which are not specifically addressed herein shall
remain in full force and effect.

City-Wide Infiltration Related Collection System Enhancement Program

Task ~1 Wastewater Master Plaa South oiUso Creek
Work under this task will include the development of a wastewater master plan
for South of Oso Creek. This master plan will include a map identifying
proposed land use, and a map identifying the proposed collection system
improvements necessary to provide wastewater service to the area. Proposed
collection system improvements will identify pipe alignment, size, depth and
direction of f]aw, i.ift station and farce main locations will also be identified
with design parameters for average and peak flows. The maps will be
accompanied by a Technical Memorandum that will identify the methodology
and background information used to develop the land use and collection system
maps.
(A) Compile and Review I~xisting Documentation, Consultant will meet with
City staff and participate in discussions to define of intent of the Project and
to collect the available data, related studies and the associated maps.
{B} band Use and Planning, Consultant will review and investigate the available
records, archives, and pertinent data related to the Project in conformance
with the City's adopted Wastewater Collection System Master Plans.
(C) Design Flow Calculations. Consultant will calculate the ultimate design
flows for the sub•basins within the study area and will determine the facility
improvements required to provide wastewater service.
{D) Technical Memorandum. Consultant will present the findings in a letter
report and the associated exhibits.

i. Oso Transfer to Greenwood Froject. Coordinated with City and City's
Consultant responsible for the Oso Transfer project to ensure proposed
improvements were incorporated into the master plan.

DEFINITIONS
a. Board Member. A member of any board, commission or committee appointed by the City Council of the City of
Carpus Christi, Texas.
b. Employee. Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, either on a full or part time basis, but not as
an independent contractor.
c. Firm. Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or commercial and whether
established to produce ordeal with a product or service, including but not limited to, entities operated in the form
of sole proprietorship, as self-employed person, partnership, corporation, oint stock company, joint venture,
receivership or trust and entities which, for purposes of taxation, are treate~ as non-profit organizations.
d. Official. The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager Depu~City Manager, Assistant City Managers,
