IN SUPPORT OF
SOUTH TEXAS SUBSTANCE ABUSE RECOVERY SERVICES, INC.
The City of Corpus Christi (the "City") and South Texas Substance Abuse Recovery Services, Inc. a
Texas nonproft corporation, (the "Contractor"), make this Agreement concerning payment of funds in
support of the programs provided by the Contractor. The City and the Contractor agree:
1. The parties acknowledge that the Contractor provides case management services and substance abuse
treatment to homeless or at-risk of being homeless individuals. These programs ("Programs") are further
described on the attached Exhibit A.
2. The City wiIi reimburse the Contractor up to $1,000.00 for its incurred during the period of March 1,
2008 to July 31, 2008, to provide the Programs. Requests for reimbursement shall be submitted to the City
Secretary, 1201 Leopard, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401.
3. The Contractor shall provide all Programs in compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws.
4. The Contractor shall allow the City to review the books and records of the Contractor to monitor the
disposition of the funds paid under this Agreement. Such review of books and records would take place
during normal business hours of Contractor and may include an audit.
5. Should any audit or other review indicate that any City funds have been applied to uses other than those
herein stated without the express and prior written approval of the City Manager, or his designee, Contractor
shall repay the City funds within 30 days written notice.
b. This Agreement may be amended at any time by written agreement of the City and Contractor.
Notices to the Contractor shall be addressed to. South Texas Substance Abuse Recovery Services, Inc. 907
Antelope Street, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401. This Agreement takes effect upon execution by City
Manager.

founded in 1969 as a non- profit arganlzadon to assist those individuals and
faml#res suffering from drugs and alcohol abuse. Project Vista (Treatment fnr
Homeless). is a faderaf funded progrem by SAMSIiA to provide case
managerment services grid substance abuse treatrrrent to homeless ar at-risk
of being homeless individuaisltarhllies. Cur program provides linkage m
housing, substance abuse treatment, acCese to mental health services, and
linkage to other Community prngr$ms, The majority of our clients are Indigent
and do not have the funds necessary to obtain their government f, D., Birth
Gertlficate, DD-214. At times, c8ent5 need help paying the co-pay lion
medication ar paying the 33 fee to stay in an emergency shelter. Welping
them traneitlon into a sober living environment and assisting them back Into
the workforce by paying for Flair cut and/or foals is another way the funds will
be used. 't'here ere approxima~ey S,DDD homeless individuals living in
Nueces County, Proj~t Vista mission l5 to deliver high quality services to
individuals and families members whose lives hale been impacted by
homelessness, substance abuse, and/or mental 8lness. Our goal is to
empower our dients to maintain sobriety, became self-sufficient and
productive members of the community.
