AMENDMENT NO. 5
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City", and BROWN AND CALDWELL
hereinafter called "Engineer", agree to the following amendments to the Contract for
Engineering Services for Ci -Wide Infiltration Related Collection S stem Enhancement
Pro ram Project No. 7344A , as authorized and administratively amended by:

- Exhibit "A", Section 1. Scope of Services, Part B, Additional Services shat! be
modified by the addition of Task No. 22 Wastewater Master Pian South of Oso Creek -
Larae Trunk Main Modei as detailed in the attached Amendment No. 5, Exhibit "A."
- Exhibit "A", Section 3. Fees shall be modifed as speci#ied in Exhibit "B" Summary of
Fees, for a fee of $15,7fi1.00 and a revised fee not to exceed $1,080,042.00
Ali other terms and conditions of the November 8, 2005 contract between the City and Engineer,
and of any amendments to that contract, which are not specifically addressed herein shall
remain in full force and effect.

Please find enclosed Amendment 5 for the City-Wide Infiltration Related
Collection System Enhancement Program, project number 7344A. Amendment
No. 5 includes additional service Task 22 under the sewer master planning
efforts for the area South of Oso Creek. The task is described in detail on the
attached Scope of Services xefexred to as Exhibit A of the amendment.
The total fee for these additional services is not to exceed $15,761 and the man-
hour fee breakdown is also included in the attached amendment.

BASIC SERVICES {NIA)
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Task 22 Wastewater Master Plan South of Oso Creek -- Large Trunk Main Model
Work under this task will include the development of a revised wastewater
master plan for South of Oso Creek utilizing a series of gravity trunk mains
instead of lift stations. This master plan revision will include a map identifying
proposed land use, and a map identifying the proposed collection system
improvements necessary to provide wastewater service to the area. Proposed
collection system improvements will identify pipe alignment, size, depth and
direction of flow. The gravity lines will generally align with the drainage
corridors identified on the stormwater master plan. Lift station and farce main
locations will also be identified with design parameters for average and peak
flows. The maps will be accompanied by a Technical Memorandum that will
identify the methodology and background information used to develop the land
use and collection system maps.
(A) Design FIow Calculations. Consultant will develop up to 3 conceptual
wastewater master plan alternatives for the area South of Oso Creek and will
calculate the average and ultimate design flows for the sub-basins within the
study areas. Consultant will determine and identify the necessary facility
improvements required to implement the recommended plan.
{B) Final Deliverable/Technical Memorandum. Consultant will present the
findings in a technical memorandum which will include an engineering
report, associated exhibits and calculations. The technical memorandum will
be submitted as follows:

DEFINITIONS
a. Board Member. A member of any board, commission or committee appointed by the City Council of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas.
b. Employee. Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, eitheron a full or parttime basis, but not as
an independent contractor.
c. Firm. Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or commercial and whether
established to produce ordeal with a product or service, including but not limited to, entities operated in the form
of sole proprietorship, as self-employed person, partnership, corporation, Joint stocEc company, joint venture,
receivership or trust and entities which, for purposes of taxation, are treated as non-profit organizations.
d. Official. The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager Depu~City Manager, Assistant City Managers,
Department and Division Heads and Municipal Court Judges o~ the Ci of Corpus Christi, Texas.
