TO CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City" and LNV En~i,neering hereinafter
called "Consultant" agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services
far Street Overlays Cluster 2 Bond 2008,~_Proiect No. 64471, as authorized by:
Original Contract May 27, 2008 Administrative Approval $44,950.00
Amendment No. 1 dune 10, 2008 Motion No. 2008-142 $70,660.00
In the original contract, the SCOPE OF SERVICES shall be modifed to include the
following paragraphs:
BASIC SERVICES
1. _ Shoreline Boulevard Cluster 4 has existing pavement in average to poor condition.
The improvements will consist of limited pavement repair, hot-mix-asphalt-concrete
{HMAC) overlay, valve and manhole adjustments, and pavement markings. All locations
involve existing rights-of--way.
2. Limited Topographic Survey: Provide control and a topographic survey limited to
identifying pavement cross-slopes and obtaining HMAC gut#er slopes on the northbound
lane of Shoreline Boulevard.
3. Attend and participate in project kick-off and review meetings (3 meetings) with City
staff.
4. Review available reports, record drawings, utility maps and other information provided
by the City pertaining to the project area.
5. City will provide Traffic Control plan sheets to AIE. Once received, A/E will convert to
format of remaining plan sheets to ensure consistency.
6. No public meetings are included in this Scope of Work.
7. Develop construction drawings in City standard format; however, sheets shall be plan
view only with 1" = 40'.
8. Prepare Opinion of Probable Construction Costs including contingency amounts.
9. Prepare Special Provisions, Specifications and Forms of Contracts and Bonds to
include:
• Notice to Bidders
• Part T -Technical Specifications (if required)
• List of Drawings
• Proposal
10. Address comments received from the City for the pre-final (100%} submittal.

11. Update the Opinion of Probable Costs.
12. Provide Bid Phase Services:
a. Participate in the pre-bid conference and provide a recommended agenda for critical
construction activities and elements impacting the project.
b. Assist the City in solicitation of bids by identifica#ion of prospective bidders, and
review of bids by solicited interests.
c. Review all pre-bid questions and submissions concerning the bid documents and
prepare, in the City's format, for the Engineering Services' approval, any addenda ar
other revisions necessary to inform contractors of approved changes prior to bidding.
d. Attend bid opening, analyze bids, evaluate, prepare bid tabulation, and make
recommendation concerning award of the contract.
The City staff will:
a. Arrange and pay for printing of all documents and addenda to be distributed to
prospective bidders.
b. Advertise the Project for bidding, maintain the list of prospective bidders, receive and
process deposits for all bid documents, issue (with the assistance of AIE) any
addenda, prepare and supply bid tabulation forms, and conduct bid opening.
c. Receive the Consultant's recommendation concerning bid evaluation and
recommendation and prepare agenda materials for the City Council concerning bid
awards.
d. Prepare, review and provide copies of the contract for execution between the City
and the Contractor.
e. Provide all existing designs of Shoreline Boulevard to the Consultant.
13. Construction Phase Services are not included in the scope of work covered by this
Amendment. Scope of Construction Phase Services to be determined.
14. Prepare monthly progress reports for submittal to the City. Monthly progress reports
shall be submitted by the 5th of each month.

2. Aerial photo strip maps for each street at 1" = 40' scale.
3. Core borings to determine existing pavement and base thickness.
TIME OF PERFORMANCE
All Work in this Task Order shall be completed by the CONSULTANT on or before the dates
indicated in Table A.
