Subject: Rodd Field Village Improvement District Infrastructure Improvements
Citv Project No. 7243. 8419
Dear Pete:
An issue has been brought to our attention concerning the water lines for the subject
project. The landowner of a portion of Block 4 is questioning why no new waterlines are being
constructed along Dalmatian Dr. along the west side of this Block (see Attachment `A'). Aline in
this area was not included in the original scope of the project (see Attachment `B'). From the
information we had in our files it appears that this line was not included for the following
reasons:
• Block 4 was apparently not included in the initially proposed re-platting.
• Block 4 was added to the re-platting but the lots shown at that time had access to the
waterline along Hull Dr (Road F)
• Later in the re-platting process, the landowner requested that Block 4 be sub-divided to
add lots along Pyrenees St. and Dalmatian Dr.
In order to provide water service to the lots along Dalmatian Dr. a new waterline will
have to be constructed from Pyrenees St. to Yorktown Blvd. (unless the line is terminated at the
end of Dalmatian Dr.). The cost to provide this new waterline is estimated as follows (see
attached for breakdown).
Estimate of Probable Construction Cost: $ 56,412
Engineering Services: 7 300
Total Estimate of Probable Cost $ 63,712
Please review and let us know how to proceed. If this waterline is added to the project
we request an amendment to our contract to provide the surveying, design, preparation of
drawings and change order and construction administration.
Sincerely, -
URBAN ENGINEERING
