RE: Fee Proposal for Drainage Study for Culvert at Joe Mireur Road
Corpus Christi International Airport Airfield Drainage Phase VI
~~~
Dear Mr. Stowers:
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is requiring additional analysis be done of the
proposed drainage culvert crossing under Jce Mireur Road as part of the CCIA Drainage Phase
VI project. The required analysis is above and beyond the original scope of our project but will
be required in order for TxDOT to sign the "Multiple Use Agreement" form that will give our
contractor authority to construct the culvert across TxDOT right-of-way.
We have coordinated with TxDOT design division in Austin to define the scope of the project
that will ultimately result in the signing of the agreement by TxDOT. On our design team we
have retained Mr. Victor Gutierrez, Jr., PE from Coym, Rehmet and Gutierrez, Inc. of Corpus
Christi to perform to analysis and submit the report to TxDOT for approval. Based on his
conversations with TxDOT we understand the requirement to consist of prepazing a drainage area
map for the project, running a HEC-RAS model of the proposed improvements, prepazing a
hydraulic data sheet and submitting a summary report to TxDOT for review and approval.
Mr. Gutierrez has proposed a fee to PGAL of $8,200 for the study. His proposal is attached for
your review With our usual ]0% markup for coordination efforts we propose the total fee for this
study to be $9,020.
If you have any questions or need clarification, please call me at (713) 968-9315. We appreciate
the opportunity to work with the City of Corpus Christi and CCIA on this important Airport
Improvement Proiect.
