and is made by and between the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI (the "City") and CGRIFF,
SEIBELS AND WILLIAMS OF TEXAS, INC. ("COUtraMOr").
RECITALS
A Reference is here made to that certain "Contract to Provide Property and Related Insurance,"
signed on October 27, 2005, (the "Existing Contract").
B. The Existing Contract is set to terminate on November 4, 2009.
C. The property insurance policy, however, is set to expire on May 4, 2009. The policy term no
longer matches the term of the Existing Contrail because the City chose to change the policy
period to renew outside of hurricane season, as recommended by McGriff for more favorable
market availability and rates.
D. The City desires to renew the property insurance policy period from May 4, 2009 to May 4,
2010.
E. Accordingly, the Existing Contrail term should extend from November 4, 2009 to May 4, 2010,
to match the policy period.
NOW, THEREFORE, in wnsideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth below, the
parties, intending to be legally bound, agree as follows:
1. Defined Terms. Defined terms used but not defined in this agreement are as defined in the
Existing Contract.
2. Amendment to Section K. Section K of the Existing Cortract is hereby amended by inserting
after Section K the following new section K.2.:

This Contract shall not terminate on November 4, 1009 and shall contirme far an
extended period of time to end on May 4, 2010.
3. iyfiscellaneous. Except as expressly amended hereby, the Existing Comract shall remain in Rrll
force and effect. The Existing Contract, as hereby amended, is hereby ratified and confirmed in
all respects.
4. Counteroarts. This First Amendment may be signed by authorized represerrtatives of the City
and Contractor in multiple original counterparts, and each such counterpart shall be considered
an original, but all such counterparts taken together shall constttute but one and same
instrument, binding upon the parties, notwithstanding that all of the parties may not have
executed the same coumerpart.
