HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2009-115 - 3/13/2009 - NAAGREEMENT for Consultant Services This AGREEMENT is between the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, "CITY", acting through its duly authorized City Manager or designee ("Assistant City Manager"), and Dale Jackson, a sole proprietor, "CONSULTANT", who agree as follows: 1. DECLARATIONS. "CITY" desires to engage "CONSULTANT" to provide services in connection with the Development Services Department, described in Exhibit A. 2. SCOPE OF WORK. "CONSULTANT" shall provide services for the PROJECT in accordance with the accompanying Scope of Services and Fee attached as "Exhibit A". 3. INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS. The Consultant agrees to indemnify, save harmless and defend the City of Corpus Christi, and its agents, servants, and employees as more fully set forth in Exhibit "B". 4. FEE. As you are awaze, I have worked in a contract capacity as the Plan Review Coordinator in the Building Inspections Division for the past 5 '/z months. Because of this, I am very familiar with most of the personnel and procedures within the Building Inspections Division. In addition to being familiar with City of Corpus Christi procedures, personnel and standards, I have the following experience and qualifications: Experience: 25 years of municipal building inspection experience with 16 years of this as a Building Official and 4 years as the Director of Operations for BCCS, a third parry code compliance company. The foregoing indemnity shall apply except if such injury, death or damage is caused by the sole or concurrent negligence of the City of Corpus Christi, its agents, servants, or employees or any other person indemnified hereunder. Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, either on a full or part time basis, but not as an independent contractor. c. Firm.
