8. Authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute agreements with
non - profit arts organizations to provide financial assistance totaling
$160,000 for various arts and cultural programs as recommended by the
Municipal Arts Commission. Funds are available from the Tourist and
Convention Center activity, general fund reserve being held in Contingency
Reserves, and from a grant from the Texas Commission for the Arts, as
approved by the City Council in the 1986 -87 budget.
