Dear Sally:
The Buccaneer Commission respectfully requests permission to place two or three kiddie
oriented carnival rides on the west parking lot of City Hall (corner of Leopard Street at
Sam Rankin ), for the purpose of providing and testing the reception of this type of
entertainment along our parade route.
The kiddie rides shall be non - aerial, age appropriate, with carnival operators following
necessary height and size restrictions and safety precautions.
The location of the kiddie rides shall be as indicated on the attached exhibit.
In making this request, it is understood that adequate security around the rides will be
provided by Buccaneer Commission's contractor Crabtree Amusements. In utilizing the
City Hall parking lot area described above, we have instructed our contractor that no
holes are allowed in the pavement area of City Hall parking lot. Buccaneer Commission
shall be responsible for all damage to City Hall parking lot areas which are shown on the
enclosed exhibit.
The rides would not be erected until after 5:00 pm Friday, May 1, 2009 and removed on
Sunday, May 3, 2009.
Buccaneer Commission shall utilize this additional City property in compliance with all
terms and conditions of the current Lease Agreement between the City and Buccaneer
Commission, including insurance and indemnification.
