AFFILIATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
DEL MAR COLLEGE AND THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
This Af~iiiation Agreement is entered into by and between Del far t~allege, hereinafter referred to as "t~allege"
and lwit of carpus t~laristi, a Texas Horne~Rule municipal corporation, hereinal~er referred to as ~;pity," for its
corpus Christi Police Department, hereinafter referred to as "Police department".
~t is mutually agreed between the t~ollege and pity that when Palice Department is using college's gaining field:
~} t~I~I.~GE will:
a} Provide Police Department with access to the training field for training purposes; said access
will be scheduled through the allege}
b} Maintain a schedule of all training Feld resources and their availability;
c~ Provide a qualified technician t~ operate gaining props except as Hated in ~} ~} below; and
d~ Provide Palice Department with parking, as available. college assurraes rya responsibility for
damage ar theft to vehicles as a result of being placed on college property,
~) P~L~CE D~PARTIV~~NT will:
a~ Provide supervision, in conjunction with the faculty from the allege, far Police Department
training participants;
b~ Reimburse t~ollege for consumables used in Police training ~e.g. sirnuraition};
c} Reimburse college for any damage caused to the facility by negligence or misuse;
d} ~aoperate with college in the future development of the training fteld;
e~ Pay college the current adjunct faculty lab hourly rate far the qualified technician provided by
college as referenced in ~} c} above, Hat to exceed $Z,S~a.O~; and
#~ Designate at least two Police Department personnel, with t~ollege consent, to be trained as
technicians to operate props on the allege gaining f field.
rt is further agreed between the college and t~ity that when college is using Police Department's f~rir~g range:
3~ ~DL~EGE will:
a} Maintain a quali#~ied rangernaster on-site during all college training at the firing range;
b~ Reimburse Police department for cansumablcs used in training ~e.g, target frames};
c} Reimburse Police Department for any damage caused to the facility by negligence or misuse;
d} oaperate with Police Department in the future development of the firing range;
e} Pay zty the current hourly rate far the qualified rangmaster provided by the Palice department
as referenced in 4} d}below, not to exceed $Z,5oD.04; and
#~ Designate at least two college personnel, with Police Department consent, to be trained as
a ~a~9~2~~ Aerate props on the Palice Department firing range.

5} College may xequest the removal of any student ar ir~struuctor whose conduct or work may have a
detrimental effect on safety ar student learning.
G} Neither party shall be responsible to the other for personal injuries, losses, claims, ar demands caused by
the acts or arnissions, if any, of such party ar its agents, employees, invitees, or subcontractors, The
liability, if any, of either party, shall be that prescribed by the laws of the State of Texas.
7} The City Mager is authorised to execute amendments to this Agreement which da not change the
essential purpose of this Agreetnent~
8} The term of this agreement shall begin on the final date of execution by all parties, and shall continue for
one year ~rhich renews automatically for successive one year terms until written notice of termination is
provided to the other party at least ~~ days prior to the end of the term. ~lawever, either par#y shall have
the right to terminate this agreement on a 30 day written notice to the other party. Far this purpose, notice
