As part of HDR's Engineering Contract for the Airline Road improvements, cleaning and televising •vf the sanitary ,sewer trunk main was included as a additional service to ascertain its - condition and possible Head for rehabilitationlrepair prior to construction of the new roadway: In our subcontract with Video Plumbing, we included sufficient ,quantities to clean and televise the portion of the line within the project limits; from-the lift station near Brooke Road to just south of Lipes Blvd. based an quantities deriv-ed from scaled from the City's base rnaps.ln subsequent oor~versatio~s with vllastewater personnel, it was ascertained that this line was accepted far city awnersl~ip and maintenance with an extended warranty due to patential~defects in the . - cdnstruction. ghat warranty-period expired on Niay-19, ~2~~9. Consequently, the scope of the cleaning and televising was-extended .to saver the entire project limits. . Upon cornrnencing operations to clean. and televise the lines, our sub-consultant, Video . Plumbing, encountered surcharged lines. ~Jp~n investigation, Video found that wastevuater in ~ . the SPA ~a Lift station were being held high levels-to reduce odor generation and complaints - from adjacent property owners. Upan~commencing cleaning and televising operations, Video found excessive amount of sediment and sludge buildup in the lines due- ta.the surcharging. ~. - - For these reasons ~we are requesting an amendment to our contract to saver these additional costs .totaling 4,~8~.Oa. below is a summary of -our ariginal.agreement Frith Video Plumbing ~ - - ~ and the requested restated fee.
