f. Prepare and submit pre-final and final submittals. Incorparate pity
review comments into the submittals.
2. BID PHASE (Part 2 Only)(Project No. 6522}
a. Participate in the pre-bid conference and provide a recor~mended
agenda for critical construction activities and elements ir~rpacting the
project,
b, Assist the pity in solicitation of bids by identification of prospective
bidders, and review of bids by solicited interests.
c. Peview all pre~bid questions and submissions concerning the bid
documents and prepare, in the pity's format, for the Engineering

Services' approval, any addenda or other revisions necessary to inform
contractors of approved changes priorto bidding.
d. Attend individual bid openings, analyze bids, evaluate, prepare bid
tabulation and make recommendation concerning award of the tuvo
contracts.
e. In the event of the lowest responsible bidder's bid exceeds the project
as revised by the Engineering Services in accordance with the
Engineer's design phase estimate required above, the engineer will, at
its e~cpense, confer with City staff and make such revisions to the bid
doour~ent as the City staff deems necessary to re-advertise that
particular portion of the Project far bids.
f. Prepare, review and provide copies of the contract for execution
between the pity and the contractor.
3. CONSTRUCTION PHASE (Part 2 Only)(Project No. 6522)
a. Participate in pre-construction meeting and provide a recommended
agenda for critical construction activities and elements impacting each
of the two projects.
b. Review for confor~rance to cantrect documents, chap and working
drawings, materials and other submittals.
c. Review field and laboratory tests.
d. Provide interpretations and clarifications of the cantrect documents for
the contractor end authorize minor changes, which do net affect the
contractor`s price and are net contrary to the general interest of the
City under the contract.
ei Make visits to the site of the Project ~~ hours per week for weeks} to
confer with the City project inspector and oantractor to observe the
general progress and quality of work, and to determine, in general, if
the work i being done in accordance with the contract documents.
This will not be confused with the project representative observation or
continuous monitoring of the progress of construction.
f. Prepare change orders in concurrence with Engineer's
recommendation and as authorized by the City ~coardinate with the
pity's cantruction division}.
. Make final inspection with City staff and provide the City v~rith a
Certificate of Completion for the project.
h. Engineer will review and recommend approval of contractor submittal
application estimates for payment.
i. review construction "red~lir~e" drawings, prepare retard drawings of
the Project a constructed from the "rod-line" drawings, inspection,
and oantractor provided plans and deliver to Engineering Services
reproducible set and electronic file ~AutoCA~ r.14 or later} of the
record drawings. All drawings will be CARD drawn using .dwg format in
AutoCAD, and graphics data will be in ,dxf format vuith each la er beir~

provided in a separate file. Attribute data vuill be provided in ASCII
format in tabular form. All electronic data gill be compatible uvith the

after acceptance of the Project. Note defects requiring contractor action to
