HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2009-369 - 8/14/2009 - NAFIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CONTINUUM OF CARE GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND THE SALVATION ARMY AcEO~~iacoxro~~alloN This first amendment ("First Amendment") is made by and between the City of Corpus Christi ("City") and The Salvation Army ("Subrecipient"). WHEREAS, the City and the Subrecipient executed an agreement ("Agreement"), which was approved by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY07-08 Continuum of Care ("COC") Grant Program funds; WHEREAS, the Agreement terminates July 31, 2009; and WHEREAS, the parties to the Agreement desire to execute this First Amendment to extend the term stated in the Agreement. Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to extend the term of the original Agreement. Section 2. Section 3, subsection 3.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the date "July 31, 2009" and inserting the date "August 31, 2009." Section 3. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to extend the term stated in the Agreement. All terms, conditions, and covenants not changed by this First Amendment remain the same and in full force and effect. Any agency, governmental or private, which enters into a contractual or cooperative relationship with The Salvation Army should be advised that: 1. The Salvation Army is an international religious and charitable movement, organized and operated on aquasi-military pattern, and is a branch of the Christian church. 2.
