Force Main Rehabilitation City of Corpus Christi Project No. 7389 CRG Sob # 20152c Dear Mr. Anaya, We were recently requested to prepare an amendment to the referenced contract to modify our plans for the Sharpsburg Lift Station to include a PVC force main (size to be determined) from the existing Up River Road Lift Station to the Sharpsburg Lift Station. This is intended to be the first phase of a project to eventually redirect the flows from the Up River Road Lift Station to the Sharpsburg Lift Station. The second phase of this plan will involve new pumps, electrical and controls at the Up River Road Lift Station and atie-in to the force main to be constructed according to the design prepared by this contract amendment. The final proposed redirecting of flows from the Up River Road Lift Station cannot be accomplished until the major I/I flows in the Up River Road Lift Station collection system are resolved. We propose to perform the following services. • Prepare a brief Preliminary Engineering Letter Report (PEER) outlining the proposed project and the future additions required at the Up River Road Lift Station. The report will include calculations for flows from the Up River Road Lift Station service area which will eventually be accommodated by the Sharpsburg Lift Station. The PEER will be issued as an amendment to the Design Memorandum completed earlier. • Perform surveys to determine ROW boundaries, topographic features and utilities along the route of the proposed force main in Up River Road. Set centerline control for construction. • Make revisions to the Plans and Specifications (presently 90% complete) to include the proposed force main. • Obtain a permit from Seadrift Pipeline Company for construction of the force main crossing that company's high pressure gasline. The total amount of the Amendment is $19,375 as shown in the breakdown on Attachment "A". The manhour and fee analysis for the Amendment is shown in Attachment "B".
