HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2009-507 - 12/14/2009 - NAAMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "CITY", and NAISMITH ENGINEERING, INC., hereinafter called "CONSULTANT," agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services for Old State School Property Development Phase 2 (Project No. 3388), as authorized and amended by: Ori final Contract Aril 28, 2009 Motion No. 2009-118 $141,349.00 EXHIBIT "A", PART 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, SECTION 6. ADDITIONAL SERVICES, shall be expanded to include the following: ITEM NO. 6: Field work for locating any and all boundary monuments as well as any existing easements for a fee in the amount $5,400.00. ITEM NO. 7: Research of adjoining properties and easements and the CAD drawing of the plat showing the boundary determination and affecting easement for a fee in the amount of $4,800.00. ITEM N0.7: Registered Professional Land Surveyor- boundary determination and QA/QC of field work for a fee in the amount of $1,600.00. EXHIBIT "A" PART 3. FEES SECTION C. SUMMARY OF FEES shall be modified and is attached as Exhibit "A" Summary of Fees for a revised fee not to exceed $11,800.00 (Eleven Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents), for a total restated fee not to exceed $153,149.00 (One Hundred Fifty Three Thousand One Hundred Forty Nine Dollars and Zero Cents). This work was determined to be above and beyond the original scope of work for the contract. We are requesting that our contract be amended to provide additional fees for this work.. A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas. b. "Economic benefit". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to have an effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public in general or a substantial segment thereof. c. "Employee." Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas either on a full or part-time basis, but not as an independent contractor. d. "Firm."
