HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2009-518 - 11/22/2009 - NAAMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City", and FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC. hereinafter called "CONSULTANT", agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services for Vehicle Impound Facility, Phase 1 (Project No. 52491, as authorized and amended by: Ori final Contract Ma 26, 2009 Motion No. 2009-144 $280,211.00 ^ In the original contract, Section II. SCOPE OF SERVICES shall be modified by the addition of the following scope as shown on the attached Exhibit "A-1"Task List. Basic Services 1. Design Auction Yard site incorporating the recycled asphalt millings secured by the $ 12,907 City of Corpus Christi and prepare contract documents for the completion of paving. 2. Design a concrete access ramp for use by the Storm water utilities into the Airport $ 15,948 Ditch and prepare contract documents for the completion of concrete access ramp. Additional Services 3. Provide supplemental topographic survey to reestablish elevations after initial site $ 1,495 clearing and grading. 4. Provide boundary survey as required for TCEQ to permit the improvements on the $ 6,900 existing landfill site. 5. Submit documents for platting of the property. $ 5,750 ^ In the original contract, Section III. FEES shall be modified as shown on the attached Exhibit "A" for a total fee not to exceed $43,000.00 (Forty Three Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents), for a total restated fee not to exceed $323,211.00 (Three Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Two Hundred Eleven Dollars and Zero Cents. All other terms and conditions of the May 26, 2009 contract between the City and Consultant will remain in full force and effect. No. 1\Summary of Fees.xls EXHIBIT «A» Pa e2of2 EXHIBIT "A-1" TASK LIST CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS VEHICLE IMPOUND FACILITY, PHASE 1 (Project No. 5249) Basic Services: 1) Develop construction drawings in English units in 22" x 34" sheets, to include the following (as required for this project): • Paving and Grading Plans (Vehicle Impound and Auction Yard) • Parking Lot Cross-Sections • Paving Details • Pavement Marking (Striping) Plan • Concrete Access Ramp Plan and Details 2) .Prepare opinion of probable construction costs including contingency amounts. 3) Provide Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QClQA) interim review and prepare submittal for City's review depicting pre-final development of the contract drawings and specifications. 4) Address comments received from the City for the pre-final submittal. 5) Provide Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) final review and submit one (1) reproducible hard copy of the final contract drawings and specifications to the City for bidding process. 6) Update the opinion of probable construction costs. 7) Provide Construction Phase Services in accordance with Exhibit 'A' of the Contract for Professional Services. Additional Services: 1) Provide Topographic Survey: Provide Supplemental topographic survey to reestablish elevation after initial site clearing and grading (by others) 2) Provide new Boundary Surrey of 25-acre site: • Provide a boundary of said property signed and sealed by an RPLS. • Provide an electronic copy of said survey as well as hard copies as per client's request. 3) Provide services in order to submit for platting of the property: • Prepare a drawing to be submitted for platting. • Attend all pertinent meetings required to address any and all requirements to submit for platting. • Client will provide a title commitment to ensure that all relative easements and or constraints are noted on the survey. Otherwise a note will be added to the survey stating the survey was done without the benefit of a title commitment. AMD.
