AIRLINE ROAD, FROM SARATOGA BLVD.TO RODD FIELD RD.
(CITY PROJECT NO. 6465)
CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, hereinafter called "City" and HDR Engineering, Inc. hereinafter called "Engineer",
agree to amend the Contract for Professional Services for Airline Road from Saratoga Blvd. to Rodd Field
Road as previously authorized and amended by:
Ori final Contract March 31, 2009 Motion No. M2009-076 $1,127,716.00
Amendment No. 1 Jul 28, 2009 Administrative Approval $4,387.00
The following paragraphs describe Amendment No. 2. The headings and outline designations refer to those
from the original contract; amended sections retain the same number and letter designation; new sections
append the sequencing of the original contract.
EXHIBIT "A-1" TASK LIST, ITEM NO. 1 SCOPE OF SERVICES, SECTION B. ADDITIONAL SERVICES,
PART 2. TOPOGRAPHIC AND RIGHT OF WAY SURVEY shall be modified to include the following:
F) Perform additional right-of-way and topographic survey in sufficient detail to support future design of
improvements at Yorktown Blvd. and Rodd Field Road intersection and abandonment of Airline
Road between Rodd Field and Yorktown in accordance item B) and C) of Exhibit "A-1"Task List.
G) Prepare four individual signed and sealed parcel maps and legal descriptions in accordance with D)
and E) of Exhibit "A-1"Task List for the following:
a. the abandonment of Airline Road between Rodd Field Road and Yorktown,
b. the ROW required for the intersection modifications as proposed in the Engineering Letter
Report (ELR),
c. the ultimate ROW taking, and
d. the existing area on the west side at the right turn lane from Rodd Field Road.
H) Stake corners of parcels prepared in G) above.
I) Coordination with local area developer to determine future ROW requirements.
EXHIBIT "A"PART 3. FEES shall be modified as attached.
All other terms and conditions of the March 31, 2009 contract, as amended, between the City and the Engineer
will remain in full force and effect.

FILING REQUIREMENTS

economic benefit on any City official or employee that is distinguishable from the effect that the
action will have on members of the public in general or a substantial segment thereof, you shall

DEFINITIONS

a. "Board member." A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
b. "Economic benefit". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to
have an effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public
in general or a substantial segment thereof.
c. "Employee." Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas either on a full or
part-time basis, but not as an independent contractor.
d. "Firm." Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or
commercial, and whether established to produce or deal with a product or service, including
but not limited to, entities operated in the form of sole proprietorship, as self-employed
person, partnership, corporation, joint stock company, joint venture, receivership or trust, and
entities which for purposes of taxation are treated as non-profit organizations.
"Official." The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager, Deputy City
Manager, Assistant City Managers, Department and Division Heads, and Municipal Court
Judges of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
£ "Ownership Interest." Legal or equitable interest, whether actually or constructively held,
in a firm, including when such interest is held through an agent, trust, estate, or holding
entity. "Constructively held" refers to holdings or control established through voting trusts,
proxies, or special terms of venture or partnership agreements."
