AMENDMENT NO. 9
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City', and COYM, REHMET 8: GUTIERREZ ENGINEERING, L.P.,
hereinafter called "Engineer", agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services for Lift Station
at Buckingham (RFQ 99-01) (Proiect No. 7117) as authorized by:

EXHIBIT "A", SECTION 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, PART A. BASIC SERVICES, ITEM NO. 2 DESIGN PHASE shall be
amended to include additional Design Phase Services as shown on the attached Exhibit "A".
EXHIBIT "A", SECTION 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, PART A. BASIC SERVICES, ITEM NO. 4 CONSTRUCTION
PHASE shall be amended to include additional Construction Phase Services as shown on the attached Exhibit "A"
EXHIBIT "A", SECTION III. FEES shall be modified as shown on the attached Exhibit "A" for a revised fee not to exceed
$49,810.00 (Forty Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Ten Dollars and Zero Cents), for a total restated fee not to exceed
$592,992.00(Five Hundred Ninety Two Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety Two Dollars and Zero Cents).
All other terms and conditions of the Contract and Amendments between the City and Engineer will remain in full force
and effect.

Dear Mr. Anaya,
We were recently requested to prepare an amendment to the referenced contract to modify our
plans for the Wooldridge Road Lift Station Force Main Tie-In project to include a complete odor
control system for the Wooldridge Road Lift Station.
We propose to perform the following services:
• Make revisions to the Plans to include the Bohn 111-g1'Oltlld Odor COlltl'OI 5y5teI11, which
includes all sitework, media bed details, layout and piping, air piping, water supply
piping, drain piping. manifold and blower piping, electrical and controls and all
appurtenances.
The total amount of the Amendment is X49.810 as shown in the breakdown on Attachment ".A".
The manhour and fee analysis for the Amendment is shown in Attachment "B".

FILING REQUIREMENTS

economic benefit on any City official or employee that is distinguishable from the effect that the
action will have on members of the public in general or a substantial segment thereof, you shall

DEFINITIONS
a. "Board member." A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
b. "Economic benefit". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to
have an effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public
in general or a substantial segment thereof.
c. "Employee." Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas either on a full or
part-time basis, but not as an independent contractor.
d. "Firm." Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or
commercial, and whether established to produce or deal with a product or service, including
but not limited to, entities operated in the form of sole proprietorship, as self-employed
person, partnership, corporation, joint stock company, joint venture, receivership or trust, and
entities which for purposes of taxation are treated as non-profit organizations.
"Official." The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager, Deputy City
Manager, Assistant City Managers, Department and Division Heads, and Municipal Court
Judges of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
£ "Ownership Interest." Legal or equitable interest, whether actually or constructively held,
in a firm, including when such interest is held through an agent, trust, estate, or holding
entity. "Constructively held" refers to holdings or control established through voting trusts,
proxies, or special terms of venture or partnership agreements."
