TO CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "CITY", and LNV ENGINEERING, hereinafter
called "CONSULTANT," agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services
for ADA Master Plan (BOND ISSUE 20081(Proiect No. 6485), as authorized and amended by:

In the original contract EXHIBIT "A", PART 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, SECTION A. BASIC
SERVICES. ITEM NO. 1 MASTER PLAN PHASE shall be amended to include additional Master
Plan Phase services as set forth in the attached Amendment No. 1 Exhibit "A".
In the original contract EXHIBIT "A'° PART 3. FEES SECTION C. SUMMARY OF FEES shall be
modified and is attached as Amendment No. 1 Exhibit "A" for a revised fee not to exceed
$45,840.00 (Forty-Five Thousand Eis~ht Hundred Forty Dollars and Zero Cents), for a total
restated fee not to exceed $416,250.00 (Four Hundred Sixteen Thousand Two Hundred Fifty
Dollars and Zero Cents).
All other terms and conditions of the November 17, 2009 contract and amendments between the
City and Consultant will remain in full force and effect.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City", and LNV. Inc. hereinafter called "Engineer",
agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Engineering Services for the following project:
ADA Master Plan
City Project No. 6485
as authorized by:
Large A/E Contract ~ November 2009 ~ City Council Approval ~ $370,410.00
The Large A/E shall be modified to include the following paragraphs:
BASIC SERVICES
1. Master Plan Phase
Create five (5) GIS shapefiles for incorporation into the City's GIS system for:
• ADA Curb Ramps
• Sidewalks
• Complaints (2 shapefiles-one for Sidewalks, one for ADA Curb Ramps)
• Special Needs
The shapefiles will include the following data fields:
ADA Curb Ramps data fields- Identification, Pass/Fail/None, Phase Construction Date, and
Actual Construction Date.
Sidewalks data fields- Identification, UsablelNot Usable/None, Phase Construction Date, and
Actual Construction Date.
Complaint data fields- Identification, Complaint Address/Location, Date, Remarks, Problem
Solved Y/N, and Solution Remark
Special Needs data fields- Identification, Address/Location, Comments, Special Need Code
2. Populate data fields for ADA Curb Ramps and Sidewalks Shapefiles.
Based on field evaluations of existing ADA curb ramps and sidewalks along proposed ADA
accessible routes, LNV will populate the applicable data fields for the ADA Curb Ramps and
Sidewalks Shapefiles only (Complaints and Speaal Needs Shapefiles will remain blank).
Applicable data fields will be Ident~cation, Pass/FaiVNone, and Phase Construction Date, and
Ident~cation, Usable/Not UsablelNone, and Phase Construction Date for the ADA Curb
Ramps shapefile and the Sidewalks shapefile, respectively.
3. Pertorm Evaluation of Existing Sidewalks along Proposed ADA Accessible Routes.

LNV will perform sidewalk evaluations of existing sidewalks along proposed ADA accessible
routes. LNV will determine whether a section of sidewalk (between intersections) is usable or
not usable based on sound engineering judgment. LNV will also note locations where sidewalk
is not present along proposed accessible routes.
4. Map Existing Condition of ADA Curb Ramps and Sidewalks.
LNV will map the results of the ADA curb ramp and sidewalk evaluations to be used as part of
the ADA Master Plan Map on existing pedestrian elements along proposed ADA accessible
routes (including ADA curb ramps, sidewalks, pedestrian signals, and crosswalks).
TIME OF PERFORMANCE
All work in this Amendment No. 1 shall be completed within 30 additional calendar days to the original
contract time.

FILING REQUIREMENTS

DEFINITIONS
a. "Board member." A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
b. "Economic benefit". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to
have an effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public
in general or a substantial segment thereof.
c. "Employee." Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas either on a full or
part-time basis, but not as an independent contractor.
d. "Firm." Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or
commercial, and whether established to produce or deal with a product or service, including
but not limited to, entities operated in the form of sole proprietorship, asself-employed
person, partnership, corporation, joint stock company, joint venture, receivership or trust, and
entities which for purposes of taxation are treated as non-profit organizations.
e. "Official." The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager, Deputy City
Manager, Assistant City Managers, Department and Division Heads, and Municipal Court
Judges of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
