SECRETI~}'~ ~' Padre Island Elevated Water Storage Tank (1.5 MG), Part A Additional Work Required Prior to Completion 1. Piping Modifications -Inlet/Outlet piping modifications are required to accommodate future chemical boosting facilities to be installed at a later date. The modifications on this project consist of designing pipe above ground on pipe supports to accommodate tapping and flow meter work at a later date. A valve and fire hydrant were added to provide isolation and dewatering during installation of the taps and flow meter in the chemical boosting project. A 16" stub-out was also requested at Coral Vine for distribution looping. Extensive dewatering and cathodic protection are also included in the Waterline Modifications cost. 2. Electrical Modifications -Site lighting, MIS network equipment, Police & Fire communication and antennas, CCTV and Access Control improvements were incorporated into the electrical drawings for the tank project. The electrical modifications will also included furnishing and installing upgraded main safety switch, power panel, upgraded chlorine analyzer, new cable tray, as well as all associated conduit, wiring, duct banks, and grounding rods. 3. SCADA Modifications -Control and Communication at Sand Dollar Pump Station; will require changes to cycle the elevated tank. SCADA modifications will include a fully assembled control cabinet pre-wired and fully assembled for the City of Corpus Christi supplied Modicon M340 PLC. Modifications will also include the programming and testing of the unit along with demonstration and start-up services. 4. Sleeves in the Pedestal Wall -The electrical modifications included in the list of additional work required for completion will require additional conduit which will need to be cored through the existing pedestal wall. Padre Island Elevated Water Storage Tank (1.5 MG), Part A Deduction of Work 1. Altitude Valve - An electric operated butterfly valve was provided in lieu of the diaphragm type altitude valve. The cost associated with the additional butterfly valve was included in CO #2. This change order includes the credit for the diaphragm type altitude valve. 2. Double Swing Gate -Additive Alternative No. 1 includes an additional automatic gate and card reader. Additive Alternative No. 1 was included in lieu of the double swing gate bid item. 3. Cathodic Protection -The cathodic protection is no longer needed since the tank was constructed with a high performance coating and an additional 1/16 inch of steel thickness for corrosi9n_protection_. _ This method. of protecting the tank will _a_Iso reduce_ the maintenance costs associated with cathodic protection. 4. 45' Operating Range -The Contractor provides a standard 45' operating range. Any variation from this would provide for an additional cost. The tank will provide a 45' operating range in lieu of the 40' operating range specified in the plans. 5. Ductile Iron Pipe and Bend -The inlet/outlet piping bid items were included in the Waterline Modifications; therefore, these bid items were deducted.
