HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2010-133 - 4/27/2010 - ApprovedOriginal Contract 1 June 9, 2009 1 Motion No. 2009 -162 1 $1,665,349.00 1 AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City ", and Freese and Nichols, Inc. hereinafter called "CONSULTANT ", agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Staples Street (Bond Issue 2008) — Phase 1 from Saratoga to Holly (Project No. 6494) and Phase 2 from Holly to Williams (Project No. 6495), as authorized by: • In the original contract, Exhibit "A ", Section 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, Section B. Additional Services, 2. Right -of -Way (ROW) Acquisition Survey shall be amended as follows as shown on the attached Amendment No. 1, Exhibit "A ": So For the acquisition of additional right -of -way on 19 parcels along the corridor of Staples Street, Phase 1 from Saratoga to Holly (Project No. 6494). • In the original contract, Exhibit "A ", Section 3. FEES shall be modified for a total fee not to exceed $67,968.00 (Sixty -Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty -Eight Dollars and Zero Cents, for a total restated fee not to exceed $1,733,317.00 (One Million Seven Hundred Thirty -Three Thousand Three Hundred Seventeen Dollars and Zero Cents) as shown in the attached Amendment No. 1, Exhibit "A -1." RE; Staples Street (Bond Issue 2008) Phase 1 from Saratoga to Holly (Project No. 6494) Contract Amendment Request No. 1 Mr. Anaya: 1rr+::- fIr.•tr.r(MI The Corpus Christi City Council authorized a Contract for Professional Services with Freese and Nichols, Inc. on June 9, 2009 (by M2009 -162) for the above referenced project. The City provided Right -of -Way (ROW) maps for our use on this project, in lieu of conducting ROW a re- establishment survey. Based on the ROW information provided by the City, in conjunction with the limited number of ROW pins that were located during the topographic survey, Freese and Nichols, Inc. has identified 19 parcels along the corridor for Phase 1 (between Saratoga Blvd. and Holly Rd.) where additional ROW will be needed (please refer to the attached maps). The scope of services for these Additional Services will be in accordance with Exhibit 'A' and Exhibit 'A -1' of our Contract for Professional Services. Our proposed fee for these additional services is $67,968. We request approval of Amendment No. 1 (attached) and authorization to proceed with these Additional Services. AMD.
