TO THE
CDBG SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
AND
FIGHTING TO RID GANGS
This first amendment ("First Amendment"} is made by and between the City of Corpus
Christi ~"City"} and Fighting to Rid Gangs in America Foundation, Inc. ["Subrecipient"}.
WHEREAS, the City and the Subrecipient executed an agreement {"Agreement"},
which was approved by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY47-48
Community Development Black Grant ~"CDBG"} Program funds;
WHEREAS, the Subrecipient timely requested an extension of the Agreement in order
to complete the project contemplated under the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire tv execute this First Amendment to express their mutual
desire tv reaffirm all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement
and tv extend the term and compliance dates under the Agreement.
Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reinstate and reaffirm
all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement to have the same
force and effect as if the Agreement had continued in farce to the execution date of this
First Amendment.
Section 2. Section 1, subsection 1.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "August 31, 2448" and inserting the date "June 34, 2414."
Section 3. Section ~, subsection 7.5, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "August 31, 24x8" and inserting the date "June 34, 241 a."
Section 4. Section 9, subsection 9.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "September 34, 2448" and inserting the date "July 31, 2414."
Section 5. Section 9, subsection 9.2, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "May 31, 2048" and inserting the date "June 34, 2414."
Section 6. 6y execu#ion of this First Amendment, the parties agree to revise and
extend the term and compliance dates stated in the Agreement. All terms, conditions,
and covenants not changed by this First Amendment remain the same and in full force
and effect.
