CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Carpus Christi, Texas, hereinafter called "CITY," and RVE, INC;, hereinafter called
"CONSULTANT," agree to the fallowing amendment to the Contrac# for Professional Services for

and administratively amended by:

EXHIBIT A, SECTION 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, PART B. ADDITIONAt_ SERVICES shall be
modified as shown below.
Revise: G. Construe#ion Observation {4-mo.}: Change "(4-mo.}" to "(4-wks.}".
Add: 14. Mitigation Site - Add'I Cvns#ructipn Phase Services including metes and bounds
description of the mitigation site, one-time staking of the perimeter of the work corridors, preparation
of separate plans and bid documents, additional bid phase services and an additional 4D hours of
construe#ion coordination including once a week site observatianlcoordination visits for 12-week
construction duration.
EXHIBIT A, SECTIQN 3. FEES, PART C. SUMMARY OF FEES shall be modified by the attached
Summary of Fees as shown in the attached Exhibit A for an additional fee not to exceed t}AQ Zera
Dollars and Zero Cents) far a total restated fee oat to exceed $534,557.50 [Five,.Hundred Thirty-
FourThousand Six Hundred Fifty-Ser-en Dollars and Fifty Centel.
All ether terms and conditions of the May 31, 2005 contract between the City and Engineer and any
amendments to that contract which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full farce and
effect.

a. "Board member." A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the City
Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
b. "Economic benefit". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to have an
effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public in general or a
substantial segment thereof.
c. "Employee." Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas either on a full or part-
time basis, but not as an independent contractor.
d. "Firm." Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial yr commercial, and
whether established to produce or deal with a product or service, including but not limited tv, entities
operated in the form of sole proprietorship, as self-employed person, partnership, corporation, joint
stock company, joint venture, receivership yr trust, and entities which for purposes of taxation are
treated as non-profit organisations.
e. "official: ' The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager, Deputy City Manager,
Assistant City Managers, Department and Division Heads, and Municipal Court Judges of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas.
f. "Ownership Interest." Legal ar equitable interest, whether actually or constructively held, in a
firm, including when such interest is held through an agent, trust, estate, or holding entity.
"Constructively held" refers to holdings or control established through voting trusts, proxies, ar
