AMENDMENT Nv. 1
CONTRACT FOR PROFE551ONAE. SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, a Texas home rule municipal corporation, P.O. Box 9277,
Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas 78469-9277 {City} acting through its duly authorized
City Manager or Designee {Director of Engineering Services} and Dykema Architects, Inc.,
a Texas corporation, 1101 Ocean ^rive, Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas 78404,
{ArchitectlEngineer - AIE}, hereby agree as follows:
1. SCOPE OF PROJECT: Project 6: Heritage Park Cultural Center Historical
PreservationlRestarativn (#3389)
Interior and exterior renovations tv various houses within Heritage Park Cultural Center.
{See Exhibit "E"}
Section 2. Scope of Services is amended by the addition of the following paragraph:
2. SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Scope of Services is amended to ratify the additional electrical engineering design
services necessary to incorporate specific electrical requirements of the Jazz Festival
including coordination with Jazz Festival and City Parks and Recreation personnel and
AEP regarding the existing electrical distribution network including site visits tv verify the
location of the existing underground distribution system and design drawings.
Section 3. Fee is amended by to authorize payment of an additional fee far this
amendment as follows:
3. FEE
The City will pay the A!E an additional fee not to exceed $3,020.00 for a restated not to
exceed total fee inclusive of all expenses for a restated not to exceed total fee of
~ }~,I ~~~ :o~ccordance with the Summary of Fees attached as Exhibit A.
All other terms of the contract approved March 10, 2009 by Motion 2009-060 as amended
between the Gity and Gvnsultant will remain in full farce and effect.

FILING REQUIREMENTS

action will have on members of the public in general or a substantial segment thereof, you shall

DEFINITIONS

a. "Board member." A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
b. "Economic benefit". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to
have an effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public
in general or a substantial segment thereof.
c. "Employee." Any person employed by the City of Carpus Christi, Texas either on a fill or
part-time basis, but not as an independent contractor.
d. "Firm." Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or
commercial, and whether established to produce or deal with a product or service, including
but not limited to, entities operated in the form of sole proprietorship, as self-employed
person, partnership, corporation, joint stock company, joint venture, receivership or trust, and
entities which for purposes of taxation are treated as non-profit organizations.
e. "l7fficial." The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager, ^eputy City
Manager, Assistant City Managers, Department and Division Heads, and Municipal Court
fudges of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Corpus Christi for the purpose of professional consultation and recommendation.
