The analysis indicates that the pumps will change from the 7U hp pumps, as presently shown, to $5 hp pumps. In the computer analysis, ITT-]Flygt paints out that it is imperative that air release and airlvacuum valves be installed along the route of the farce main at certain points. Tate record drawings indicate that l3 air and l airlvacuum release valves are presently in existence along the route of the farce main. These valves were evidently installed with the lift station construction in l98$ and appear, from the record drawings, to be in the proper locations as indicated by the analysis. In correspondence with Wastewater Department Operations personnel, it was requested that a status ^f the valves operations be reviewed to insure proper functioning of the lib statioNforce main system. The Wastewater Department requested that replacement of the valves, in addition to the pump changes, be included in the project scope addressed in this amendment. We propose to perform the following services: ^ Review of record drawings to ascertain approximate location of each air ar airlvacuum release valve. • Field work to ascertain exact location, elevation and condition (if possible] of each air or airlvacuum release valve. • Review the condition oFeach valve and assess all items which must be replaced. • Plot the field wank on the profile of the force main as reduced from the record drawings. • Perform a computer analysis of new flow conditions to verify location and type of valves. • Coordinate with the Wastewater Department regarding preference of valve model and appurtenances. • ]ncorporate replacement of valves into the existing plans and contract documents. • Modify structural, mechanical and detail sheets to indicate the new 8S hp pumps. ^ Modify seven electrical sheets to accommodate the new SS hp pumps. • Modify contract documents and specifications to include the 85 hp pumps and air and airlvacuum Valves.
