TO CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "CITY", and LNV ENGINEERING, hereinafter called
"CONSULTANT," agree to the following amendment to the Contract far Professional Services for Wooldridge
Road Pram Rodd Field to Quebec--BOND ISSUE 2008 (Proiect No. 6493}, as authorized and amended by:

In the original con#ract, SECTION 'f. SCOPE OF SERVICES4 PART A. BASIC SERVICES. ITEM NO. 2
DESIGN PWASE shall be amended to include additianaE Design Phase Services as shown on the attached
Amendment No. 2, Exhibit "A" and "A-1 ".
In the original contract, SECTION 4. FEES shall be modified as shown on the attached Amendment No. 2,
Exhibit "B" for a revised fee not to exceed 48 700.00 Fort -Ei ht Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars and
Zero Cents], for a total restated fee not to exceed $624,723.00 fSix Hundred TwentwFou_r Thousand
Seven Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars and Zero Cents].
All other terms and conditions of the July 21, 2009 contract between the City and Consultant will remain in full
force and effect. _

Services as detailed in the attachments for the Wooldridge Road -Rodd Field Rd. to Quebec. ]Dr., Project No.
6493. The fee for services associated with this amend~m~rtt is $487'U~ for a total revised contract. amount of
$624,723.
This amendment consists of services to be anlendcd for the Design Phase of this project. The additional Design
Phase Services include roadway 8i. storfn water design, additional coordination for traffic signals, utilities and
TxDot.

The Large AlE shall be modified to include the following:

A. Basic Services.
2. Design Phase. The AIE will:
q. Provide additional roadway design for meeting the Gity's Master Plan within existing and
the proposed right~af way.
r. Provide design services for reconfiguration of traffic signals at the Wooldridge and Rodd
Field intersection.
s. Provide coordination with TxDot far the proposed improvements in the Wooldridge and
Rodd Field intersection.
t. Provide additional Storm Water design for the future expansion of Wooldridge Road to
Aso Parkway.
u. Provide additional coordination for Wastewater improvements involving lift stations due
to utility conflicts.
v. Provide additional coordination with City Operating Departments & Engineering Services
including interim review meetings.
w. Provide updates far estimates, contract documents, specifications and submittals.

The Large A!E shall be amended to include the foNowing:

q. Provide additional roadway design for meeting the City's Street Master Pian
within the existing and proposed right-of--way, Provide recommendation and
analysis of each alternative in relation to the proposed land acquisitions.
r. Provide design services for the reconfiguration of traffic signal components at
the Wooldridge and Rodd Field intersection, Coordinate with the Traffic
Signal Department in order for existing traffic signals to accommodate.

Department for signals affected by the traffic control on Wooldridge and
Rodd Field during construction.
s. Provide coordination with TxDot far the proposed improvements in the
Wooldridge and Rodd Field intersection. Attend meetings with TxDot for
approval of proposed work consisting of traffic control items affecting Rodd
Field Road during construction.
t. Provide additional drainage calculations and design to include the future
expansion of Wooldridge Road to the Oso Parkway.
u. Provide additional coordination for the reloca#ion of the 16" force main
parallel to Wooldridge Road. This involves the Greenfields by the Bay Lift
Station and also the Wooldridge East (Los Vientos) Lift Station. This
includes providing a de#ailed contingency plan for taking each lift station out
Of SerVIGe.
v. Provide additional coordination meetings with the City p~erating
Departments in reference to items mentioned above. Thrs includes
additional interim review meetings and submittals as requested,
w, Provide updated estimates, contract documents, specifications and
submittals pertaining to additional items referenced above.

DEFINITIONS
a. "Board member." A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
b. "Economic beneht". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to
have an effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public
in general or a substantial segment thereof.
c. "Employee." Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas either on a full or
part-time basis, but not as an independent contractor.
d. "firm." Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or
commercial, and whether established to produce or deal with a product or service, including
but not limited to, entities operated in the form of sole proprietorship, as self-employed
person, partnership, corporation, joint stock company, joint venture, receivership or trust, and
entities which for purposes of taxation are treated as non-profit organizations.
e. "Official." The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager, Deputy City
Manager, Assistant City Managers, Department and Division Heads, and Municipal Court
3udges of the City of Carpus Christi, Texas.
f. "Ownership Interest." Legal or equitable interest, whether actually or constructively held,
in a firm, including when such interest is held through an agent, trust, estate, or holding
entity. "Constructively held" refers to holdings or control established through voting trusts,
proxies, or special terms of venture or partnership agreements."
g. "Consultant." Any person or firm, such as engineers and architects, hired by the City of
