TO CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The Ci#y of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "C1TY", and Bath Engineering Corporation,
hereinafter called "CONSULTANT," agree to the following amendment to the Contract for
Professional Services for O. N. Stevens Water Trea#ment Plant Process Monitoring
Instrumentation and Automation Improvements (Project No. 8600], as authorized and amended
by:
Original Small A/E June 3, 2008 Administrative Approval $47,000.00
Amendment No. 1 April 21, 2009 M2009-097 $398,600.00
Amendment No. 2 January 19, 2010 M2010-023 $377,675.00
EXHIBIT "A", PART 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, SECTION A. BASIC SERVICES, shall be amended
to expand the following Basic Services as set forth in Exhibit "A":
• ITEM N0.2 Design Phase shall be amended to include additional Design Phase Services -
$22,500.00
• ITEM NO. 3 Bid Phase shalt be amended to include additional Bid Phase Services -
$1,oao.oo
• ITEM NO. 4 Construction Phase shall be amended to include additional Construction
Phase Services - $2,000.00
EXHIBIT "A", PART 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, SECTION B. ADDITIONAL_SERVICES, shall be
amended to expand andlor add the following Additional Services as set forth in Exhibit "A":
• ITEM NO. 9 PLC and Associated Equipment shall be amended to include additional
Services - $17,050.00
• ITEM NO. 17 Operator and Engineering Manual shall be amended to add and include
additional Services -$5,000.00
EXHIBIT "A" PART 3. FEES SECTION C. SUMMARY OF FEES shall be modified and is attached
as Exhibit "A" Summary of Fees far a revised fee not to exceed $47,55D.00 (Forty Seven
Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents], for a to#al restated fee not to exceed
X874.065.00 (Eight Hundred Seventy Four Thousand Sixty Five Dollars and Zero Cents].
All other terms and conditions of the June 3, 2008 contract and any amendments between the City
and Consultant will remain in full force and effect.

Reference: O.N. STEVENS PROCESS MONITORING INSTRUMENTATION AND AUTMATION
IMPROVEMENTS: PROJECT NO. 8600 : Filter PLC Upgrades Scope
Dear, Mr. Shoemaker
This letter is our request for additional funding of $47,550 far Addendum No. 3 to the ONSWTP Projec
$fi00 for additional Contract Engineering Services and Integration Services to complete Addendum No. 2,
Filter PLC Upgrades. A break down of the funds request is provide in attachment "A". The need for
additional fund is a result of additional scope added during the design processes and Water Plant Staff's
request for additional services and hardware to improve the control and reliability of the filtration systems.
More specifically the following items are being added to Bath Engineering scope of supply:
Provide design, hardware, and integration of 6 additional PLCs panels with all associated terminals,
Ethernet fiber switches, power supplies, mounting, and programming for the following locations:
2 PLCs for Redundant Common Services
2 PLCs far Wash Water Tower
2 PLCs for Wash Water Pump Station
Provide design, hardware, and integration for Access Points for Wireless Connectivity at North and South
Filter Building.
Provide additional design, specifications, contracting support for the following devices:
2 AIT's at Filter Effluent to Clearwell
Relocate 2 Level transmitters at Filter Channel
2 Additional Level transmitters at Filter Channel
22 new Analog Position Indicators on Effluent Valves
Revise Filters 1-12 PLCs from 4 panels to 12 panel design
Additional Sequence Logic for additional scope.
Provide Operations and Engineering SCADA Systems Manual documenting system operations.

FILING REQUIREMENTS

action will have on members of the public m general or a substantial segment thereof, you shall

DEFINITIONS
a. "Board member." A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
b. "Economic benefit". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to
have an effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public
in general or a substantial segment thereof.
"Employee." Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas either on a full or
part-time basis, but not as an independent contractor.
d. "Firth." Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or
commercial, and whether established to produce or deal with a product or service, including
but not Iimited to, entities operated in the form of sole proprietorship, as self-employed
person, partnership, corporation, joint stock company, joint venture, receivership or trust, and
entities which for purposes of taxation are treated as non-profit organizations.
"Official." The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager, Deputy City
Manager, Assistant City Managers, Department and Division Heads, and Municipal Court
judges of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
f. "Ownership Interest." Legal or equitable interest, whether actually or constructively held,
in a firm, including when such interest is held through an agent, trust, estate, or holding
entity. "Constructively held" refers to holdings or control established through voting trusts,
proxies, or special terms of venture or partnership agreements."
g. "Consultant." Any person or firm, such as engineers and architects, hired by the City of
Corpus Christi for the purpose of professional consultation and recommendation.
