AMENDMENT N0.3
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City", and ARCADIS U. S.. INC. hereinafter called
"Engineer", agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Engineering Services far McBride Lift
Station and Farce Main Pro'ect No. 7287 , as authorized and administratively amended by:

Amendment No. 1 Jul 9, 2004 Administrative A royal $OAO
Amendment No. 2 March 4, 2009 Administrative A royal $12,065.00
EXHIBIT "A" OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT, SECTION 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, PART A. BASIC
SERVICES, shall be modified as follows and as shown on the attached Amendment No. 3 Exhibit "A":
2. DESIGN PHASE ~~h~~+~ .
1. Prepare 100% Plans ecificatians, and Construction Cost Estimate (PS&E} package for the
construction of a 6 inch orce main. The previously submitted plan sheets, specifications
and estimate will be revised to eliminate the proposed lift station work and the general plan
sheets will also be revised to eliminate reference to the lift station work.
No pre-final set of plans, specifications and estimate will be submitted to the City. The
deliverable for this amendment will consist of one full size (24" X 36"} set of force main plans,
one set of specifications and the estimate for the force main work only. City will provide bid
dates to update the bid documents before the signed and sealed PS&E package is submitted.
EXHIBIT "A" OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT, SECTION 2. SCHEDULE, shall be modified as follows
and as shown on the attached Amendment No. 3 Exhibit "A":
Final plans will be submitted within 30 days from the Notice to Proceed date and the execution of this
amendment by the City
EXHIBIT "A" OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT, SECTION 3. FEES, PART C. SUMMARY OF FEES, shall
be modified as specified in Amendment No. 3 Exhibit "A" for a revised fee not to exceed 15 795.00
Fifteen Thousand Seven Hundred Ninet -Five Dollars and Zero Cents , for a total restated fee not to
exceed $336,480.00 (Three Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Dollars and Zero
Cents .
All other terms and conditions of the November 11, 2003 contract between the City and Engineer, and of
any amendments to that contract, which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full force and
effect.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Project Description
ARCADIS submitted the 100% set of construction plans to the City of Corpus Christi, The
purpose of this Amendment No. 3 _is to provide a scope of work and tasks for ARCADIS to
develop 100% Plans, Specifications, and Estimate package for the Force Main work only.
The completion of the 100% Plans, Specifications, and Estimate far the McBride Lift Station is
not part of this amendment. A separate amendment will be developed at a later date upon notice
by the City of Carpus Christi.
Scope of Work and tasks:
Consultant will perform the following BASIC SERVICES tasks.
A. PRELIMINARY PHASE: NOT APPLICABLE 100% COMPLETED
B. DESIGN PHASE
1. ARCADIS shall develop 100% Plans, Specifications, and Construction Cost Estimate
(PS&E) package for the construction of an 18 inch farce main. The previously
submitted plan sheets, specifications and estimate will be revised to eliminate the
proposed lift station work and the general plan sheets will also be revised to eliminate
reference to the lift station work.
No pre-final set of plans, specifications and estimate will be submitted to the City.
The deliverable for this amendment will consist of one full size (24" X 36") set of
force main plans, one set of specifications and the estimate for the force main work
only. City will provide bid dates to update the bid documents before the signed and
sealed PS&E package is submitted.

G. TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY: refer to original contract Scope of Wark.
H. ENVIORNMENTAL ASSESSMENTS: refer to original contract Scope of Work.

a. "Board member." A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
b. "Economic benefit". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to
have an effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public
in general or a substantial segment thereof.
c. "Employee." Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas either on a full ar
part-time basis, but not as an independent contractor.
d. "Firm." Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or
commercial, and whether established to produce or deal with a product or service, including
but not limited to, entities operated in the form of sale proprietorship, as se1F employed
person, partnership, corporation, joint stock company, joint venture, receivership or trust, and
entities which for purposes of taxation are treated as non-profit organizations.
e. "Official." The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager, Deputy City
Manager, Assistant City Managers, Department and Division Heads, and Municipal Court
Judges of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
f. "Ownership Interest." Legal or equitable interest, whether actually or constructively held,
in a firm, including when such interest is held through an agent, trust, estate, or holding
entity. "Constructively held" refers to holdings or control established through voting trusts,
proxies, or special terms of venture or partnership agreements."
g. "Consultant." Any person or firm, such as engineers and architects, hired by the City of
Corpus Christi for the purpose of professional consultation and recommendation.
