The original contract shall be modified to include the following-paragraphs: ADDITIONAL SERVICES 6. Williams/Wooldridge Lift Station Hydraulic Study. The objective of Task 6 is to evaluate the current performance, opera#ions and maintenance of the Williams and Wooldridge Lift Stations, develop alternatives for improving the on-going issues, and to create schematics for the near term, short term and long term master plans of the two lift stations. The following Scope of Services includes the related engineering services for the work described above. a. Data Collection, Review and Field Visit. i. Collect and review all available pertinent data and information related to the Williams and Wooldridge Lift Stations. The pertinent data and inforinatibn may include but will not be limited to as-built drawings, collection system base maps, aerial maps, lift station operating data, flow data, ~&M manuals, pump curves, force main data, pump repair maintenance records, and energy cost data. (COMPLETED) ii. Conduct a site visit to the lift stations to independently confirm all information provided by the City and to document actual conditions. (COMPLETED) iii. Discuss with City Wastewater staff the pas# and present problems with the lift stations and to identify the issues that City staff desires to have addressed and what features they desire to have incorporated into any future improvements. (COMPLETED} b. Toaosraohic 5urvev Provide a topographic field survey of the Williams St. Lift Station site, including the necessary control points, coordinates and elevations. All work will be tied to and conform with the City's Global Positioning System (GPS) control network and comply with Category 6, Condition i specifications of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors' Manual of Practice for Land Surveying in the State of Texas, Ninth Edition. Include reference to a minimum of two (2}found boundary monuments from the project area. (COMPLETED) AMD. NO 2 EXHi131T "A" Page 1 of 3 c. Anaiysis of Williams & Wooidridse Lift Stations. i. Evaluate the existing lift stations including pumps, force mains, and wet wells using. existing and design flows. Special emphasis will be placed into determining whetherthe two lift stations can be re-purposed by redirecting the Wooldridge flows to the Williams force main instead of outfaliing at the Williams lift station wet well. [COMPL~I'ED) ii. Develop system curves for each lift station with all possible cnmbinatio.ns of pumps running for the .existing and proposed conditions. Overlay the system curves with all possible combinations of combined pump curves. Both discharge force mains will be evaluated with respect to achieving a minimum velocity and capacity to handle projected flows. [COMPLETED) iii. Review the existing hydraulic conditions and compare them with the proposed hydraulic analysis for determining the appropriate selection of upgraded replacement pumps far the Waokdridge LS and the downsized pumps far the Williams L5, iv. Calculate the energy requirements for both the existing and proposed conditions using current and future flow rates. Cost Estimates i. Review the City's maintenance records for both iift stations and develop an average annual expense far maintaining the iift stations in their current conditions. [COMPLETED) ii, Analyze the existing and proposed energy demands for both lift stations and calculate an average operating cost. iii. Develop opinions of probable construction cost for the lift station improvements/modifications. iv. Calculate the approximate pay-back period for the recommended improvements. e. Master Plan Schematics. i, With the evaluation of the existing lift stations in mind, and considering the design flows, station layouts, property availability, constructability, collection system layout, and the City staff's desired improvements, the Engineer will create Master Plan Schematics for the Williams Lift Station in three different phases. [CDMPLETED) 1. I~earTerm improvements 2. short Term Improvements 3. Lang Term improvements ii. During this sub-task, the Engineer will attend three (3) progress/coordination meetings with the City staff to discuss the various master plans/improvements, to receive City feedback and to coordinate and update the City on project progress. [COMPLETED) f. Recommendations & Deliverables. A final project Feasibility Report will include sufficient information and detail of the iift station hydraulic studies. The report will include final recommendations for the iift station improvements, master plan schematics, and opinions of probable construction cast.
