Date of An el R. Escobar
This agreement is made Between and adopted by the City of Corpus Christi
{City) and City Manager Angel R. Escobar (Escobar), and is effective on the date of
execution.
WHEREAS, the City and Escobar have executed an Amendment to Employment
Conditions and Salary for City Manager Angel R. Escobar which was formally approved
by the City Council on September 14, 2010; and
WHEREAS, said amendment provides that in the event of delay in the
appointment of a new City Manager, the City may reguest a postponement of the
January 4, 2011 retirement date set by Escobar; and
WHEREAS, a delay in the appointment of a new City Manager is anticipated and
the City desires a postponement of Escobar's retirement date and Escobar agrees with
such postponement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City and Escobar agree to the following terms:
1. Post onement of Retirement Date
The City and Escobar hereby agree to postpone Escobar's retirement date
presently set for January 4, 2011 for a period of sixty days until March 5, 201 with an
option to extend after said sixty day period on a month to month basis as agreed to by
the parties.
2. Conditions of Employment
. The new retirement date will be adjusted and ail terms and conditions of
employment and of the above cited amendment shall remain in place and shall be
effective until the new retirement date of March 5, 201 D. Any extensions beyond the
March 5, 2010 retirement date and the terms and conditions of such. extensions will be
on a month to month basis as approved by the parties. Escobar will remain an
employee of the City with all employment benefits until the new retirement date.
