Box 9277, Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas 78469 -9277 (City) acting through its duly authorized City Manager or Designee (Director of Engineering Services) and HDR Engineering, Inc. 555 N. Carancahua, Suite 1650, Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas 78478, (Architect/Engineer — AIE), hereby agree as follows: Section 1, Scope of Services is amended to add the services as described in Exhibit A -2. 1. FEE The City will pay the A/E a fee, as described in Exhibit "A ", for providing services authorized, a total fee for Amendment No. 2 not to exceed $6,000-00, Six Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents (in words) for a total not to exceed fee of $183,100.00. Monthly invoices will be submitted only once per thirty days, state the contract amount, total of prior invoices, and amount of current invoice. All other terms and conditions of the November 2, 2010 contract, as amended, between the City and Consultant will remain in full force and effect. Box 9277 Corpus Christi,.TX 78469 -9277 RE: PROPOSAL FOR ENGINEERING ASSOCIATED WITH NORTH PADRE ISLAND SEAWALL BEACH TRAFFIC CONTROL Dear Mr. Anaya, Thank you for-the opportunity to submit this proposal:to provide engineering services. associated with.the City.'s plans to provide traffic control along the beach in front of North Padre Island seawall and the area south of Packery Channel. These traffic control measures are necessary due to the narrowing of the beach in front of the seawall particularly on the southern end. The project would also entail redistributing. a stockpile of sand presently located near the north end of the seawall, PROPOSED SCOPE OF SERVICES AND SCHEDULE HDR will prepare a plan for. installation of bollards and post -and cable boat launch access points in accordance with a layout provided by the City. Appropriate .details will be developed to clearly covey the . installation requirements. The plan will also include appropriate notations conveying to the.contrac_tor the scope of redistributing the sand stockpile. It is envisioned that the work will be accomplished by a change.order to an existing construction contract. Therefore, no bid documents will be prepared. HDR will deliver final review drawings to the City on January 10, 2611. PROPOSED FEE AND REQUESTED ACTION Our.fee for the scope of services outlined above is a lump sum of $6,000 . If you are in agreement with the scope and fees, please prepare the appropriate contract documentation at your convenience.. In our earlier conversation, we discussed authorizing this work as an amendment to the N. Padre Island Beach Renourishmeht project (City Project No. E10168).
