PGAL is pleased to present the City of Corpus Christi and CCIA this amendment to the original fee proposal to provide additional Architectural and Engineering study and preliminary design services for the CCIA Communications Center, Security and Standby Generator Upgrades. This proposal amends the original scope to add in the analysis of the existing CCIA Primary and Secondary aerial power feeds to determine the feasibility of relocating them into new underground conduits. PROJECT UNDERSTANDING In addition to the scope detailed in the original proposal, we understand that CCIA is in need of relocating the existing aerial primary and secondary main electrical power feeds for the Airport into underground conduits to prepare for the future extension of Runway 13 -31, as well as to increase their reliability and resistance to damage from environmental causes. The relocation is to be limited to include the portions of the electrical feeds from their origins at the respective Airport property lines up to the existing switch gear located on the airport property north of the Terminal and east of International Drive. The work will consist of a study of the existing system including mapping and analyzing the system elements and determining the overall feasibility of the relocations, as well as a limited order of magnitude cost estimate for the project. The work will be done in conjunction with the other scope items from the previous proposal, but may require additional time. If necessary to maintain the original schedule, these added scope items may need to be prioritized with respect to the other items. The delivery schedule will be revised during the study to best suit the Airport's needs. Field investigations will include, but not be limited to, confirmation of the existing aerial routes and characteristics, adequacy of the system analysis of a potential route for the new underground system. This initial phase of work will serve to develop a comprehensive scope for subsequent preparation of detailed design plans, specifications and estimates which will be completed under a separate agreement. We will produce a report and limited schematics to be delivered within 60 days of notice to proceed, and will be prepared in conjunction with the other items. This report will be the sole deliverable for this phase of the project. COMPENSATION Basic Services: To perform these added Basic Services for Professional Engineering and Architectural Services under the $75,000 fee from the previous proposal.
